Your R/C to do list...
So I seem to be picking up more projects than I can finish off - so far I have the following jobs to do/projects to complete in no particular order;
- Clean/re-build my newly aquired Yokomo YZ-10 WCS, paint re-pro shell.
- Build up my Jrx2 from new parts, paint Mr Lexan re-pro shell
- Strip & clean gearbox on my Losi XXT G+, paint NIP shell & add brushless electrics (gonna be my fun truck )
- Strip & clean Losi Jrx Pro
- Strip & clean my runner RC10 Worlds car after a wet race meeting
- Strip & clean my #6016 Gold pan shelfer & paint original wavey mesh Protech1 shell.
- Build from NIB kit a replica of my own Losi XX racer from the mid 90s - paint Xcellorator shell to fit on-top.
- Build a 2nd (& poss 3rd) runner Jrx2 5 link car for vintage class racing
- Fit electrics, paint a 'Phobia XXX' bodyshell & genrally neaten up my newly aquired Atomic Carbon Losi CR2 ready for racing off road next year.
- Keep on top of maintainence of my Corally Phi Touring car & Mini M03 racers.....
..... - oh & I almost forgot the Mardave Marauder 1.8th I.C car thats sitting in the loft, that could do with a full resto job!
Phew!
So, would be great to see/hear what you guys have got going on that may or may not ever get completed??
Edited to add; Post your pictures.... we all like to see pictures

Re: Your R/C to do list...
i know what you mean, I have 4 projects in various states at the moment..
finish restoring an Ayk BunBun Racer (Lemans)
finish a Wild Willy 1
finish a Mauri BigBear (540 type)
find a body and capped tires for my HPI insane speed run 10L
then there is the long list of cars im trying to track down....never ends it seems
then there is the NIB stuff I need to build (but those are going to wait until my son is old enough to help me )
things i want to do that arent vintage - (im too scared to run vintage stuff!)
a dual motor YR-F2 or FF03 (im thinking the FF03 will be easier due to availabilty of parts)
brushless conversion for a Spada 09
brushless MRX-4
some kind of monster/crawler...love the look of the G-Made stuff...if only I could drop a 1/8th motor in there...

Re: Your R/C to do list...
Sounds like you have some cool projects on the go..... mind you I think some guys on here would class the YRF2 as vintage - it certainly came out at the beginning of the Touring Car craze & are pretty desirable by all accounts
You sound like me also.... as despite the projects I have on the go - I still sit here at work thinking of all different R/C related hair-brained ideas
Oh & I just remembered that I have a Parma Clodbuster shell to spray up to mount on my Clod runner to save the ABS one

Re: Your R/C to do list...
Here's my more modest To-Do list:
-Begin my Project CYANide, a second Turbo Optima using as many blue hop-up parts as I can track down.
-Disassemble and rebuild my brother's old Marui Galaxy with a few mild hop-ups; an ESC and upgrading the stock shocks if possible.
-Buy & paint a new Turbo Optima body.

Re: Your R/C to do list...
rc10ce is going to be a "whats old is new racer" (vonats 2011???).
jrx2 is getting factory team turnbuckles and rpm spindle blocks. then it's done and i'll race it from time to time. i love that car.
clod is my fall project, not sure where i'm going with it. mabye a thunder tech rage chassis.
monster beetle project, it got put on hold for my jrx2 vonats build. the mb has me stumped. i'm not sure i want to finish it because in the end it's still going to handle poorly.
right now it's got the crp chassis stiffiner kit, adj motor mount, threaded shocks, parma lexan shell. i took it for a test drive, remembered how crappy they really were and put it on the shelf.
frog, got a re-re and well....it's just like i remember it, awfull. i enjoy my hornet more. i may rob the gearbox and other parts for the monster beetle.
m03, ff02 : m03 just needs paint, i hate painting. lol the ff02 i got from a friend and my sell it.
traxxas spirit, i can't beleive i own a traxxas, but i got it for free and it's near mint. i'm selling that one for sure.
bbt/ascot rc10 sprinter: this was my dad's car that he sold over 10 years ago. when i started racing @ rchr i spotted it on their shelf. well now it's mine.
i'm just going to clean it up and put it on the shelf. i'll make a thread about it as i need help determining weather or not its a bbt. we always thought it was a bbt.

Re: Your R/C to do list...
In the amount of time it would take to write out a list, I could probably finish one of my many projects!
They just keep piling up! I got a bad vintage RC disease, someone help me please!

Re: Your R/C to do list...
you ain't kidding, I also have a problem....here is my partial list:
clean and rebuild (of course this means replacing broken and ugly parts and hardware, and filling in missing pieces):
trx1
rc10-graphite/losi shocks/houge arms, pretty much the trans case and bulkhead are original.
jrx2/traxxas bullet hybrid
pro radiant
B2
yokomo 870c (was x2, but now....x3)
custom build:
weapon x (mid motor belt drive/rc10b2/b3)
something new that i am brewing....not sure...possible tube chassis, possible oval racer, not sure.
my biggest problem is I get this big pile of parts, and I say 'hmm, I can put this with this, and that with that, and that is 2 cars, but I'm missing this. I go and buy 'this' with a whole bunch of other parts, and say, hmm...i just need this and I have a whole new car, and thus the cycle continues......case in point is 870c #3 up there.
of course, most of these cars and projects I own have no lexan, so that is a whole different story altogether....ugh....
I need my head examined......

Re: Your R/C to do list...
Lol!! I think most of us have caught it! It wouldn't be so bad, but these builds all generally involve lots of searching for parts, getting bits re-finished etc so they tend to be very time consuming..... by which point you've accumulated more rusty & bent old R/C cars LOLslotcarrod wrote:In the amount of time it would take to write out a list, I could probably finish one of my many projects!

I was hoping I would see a reply from you...I was looking for your section to be 3 pages at least.
Here is my list
finish my RC10 graphite runner
powder coat and replace my cut down pan tub with this new less cut down pan
some day stop building vintage cars long enough to get my B4 going again...I stripped it of it's top drive assembly to put into a vintage car,
oh, how do I cope . I will probably be one of the more manageable to do lists.

Re: Your R/C to do list...
So much too do and no money.
Just got the B4 hooked up brushless.
Gotta get going on my black b stamp, rpm arms stealth with the b4 slipper,b4 rear hubs and front caster blocks courtesy of Inet rc and misc Carbon fiber parts.
Redoing the Radiant for the modern wheels and electrics.
DS build into a General Lee.
Upgrading electronics to 2.4
Where is all my money going

Re: Your R/C to do list...
These are a few of the things I'd like to get done over the winter:
- A&L Roadkill conversion on a RC10T...find NIP white parts, send body to Eau Rogue
- BME conversion on a RC10 with a TrackMaster tranny
- Assemble NIB B44 & buy brushless/LiPo setup for next season
- Have TrackMaster belt-drive tranny pieces gold plated...seriously
