I put this together with the bits and pieces I had left over from my projects (I didn't even clean them ) the only part I had to buy specially was the stealth. This is the first time I have ever run an RC10 (with exception of my TC3 which doesn't count) and I am seriously stunned at the speed these good old golds can achieve. I'm not sure of the ratio I'm using as I just stuck with the spur that came with the trans, I put a 19t pinion on it for starters. I stuck one of my old trinity D3 14x2 in it and off it went I love it The future plans for this little car is the Scollins Scorcher treatment but I had to run it in LWB form first just to say I've run a gold tub

Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
And after an hour at the BMX track (Next time I will take the camera or better still Video) I'm converted, runners are the future, now where did I put that new built CE

Not straight out of the packet new Tadracket but in very good shape, I don't have any others to use, I only have one other set and they are on my 6010 restoration.
The problem I have Shodog is I want a runner and a scorcher rc10 so somethings going to have to give, I suppose I could always shorten the CE and make a scorcher out of that

Go Beetle Go!
If we can't use new, then they should just send us the used stuff instead of binning it, right?
This is the other half of the mixed-up-tubs project I started the other night. Figured I'd start a thread for it in the proper place. There are parts from at least 4, probably 5, different RC10s in here: a C-stamp gold tub, black 10T nose and...

I like it. I was my self thinking of building a gold 10T, but didn't want to spend the money to plate the nose to match, maybe one day.
Ever since I sold my old bits-n-pieces RC10CE, I've been wanting to build another mongrel. Somehow I like the beat-up mismatched cars better than the clean like-new ones. Which works out well, because they're also much cheaper to build.
I've been...

It's alive, and it's awesome:
Which only goes to show you can't kill these things. If I can build a decent runner out of leftovers, scraps, and spares, then there will always be an RC10 in my life. And that's a pretty cool thought.
Got this from a good mate. It started life as a Ferrari on road racer. A Optima Mid Custom chassis that Kyosho slapped on a nice shell with the cool 5 spoke star chrome wheels. My mate converted it to...

Spent the last couple days on this now.
I installed a new digital servo, Brushless speedie with a 8.5 sensored motor.
The gearing is around the right mark. The platinum shocks aren't that good and too stiff . The rear springs are modded Losi...
Bought this XX to run at Boondal and maybe at the vintage festival next time.
I wanted a XX not a XXcr so upon getting this I quickly realized that this was a bitsa of all losi's . A CR rear end , Jrx Pro rear shocks. Duratrax front hub carriers to...

Just a few tips
toe the front wheels in a bit
if the track is small and has tight corners put 30 degree blocks up front. This will help the front wheels lay over a bit when you turn.
if it is a bigger track with more open corners use about 15...
So, a while back I posted a pic of my RC10ce and my XX. I had been out of the hobby for quite some time and since getting back into it I've wanted to update my RC10.
So far I've done the front and rear conversion to run b3 rims, used rccarbonworks...

Slotcarrod: thanks! Btw, holy smokes that is a crazy collection you've got going there. Simply stunning!
This one will eventually be my runner. I have gone through most of it and it is really a nice low time buggy. I plan on putting on the lightweight Andy's A-arms and cleaning up the look of the body. Otherwise I am going to hopefully get some use out...
