here's a shot of the tub and the axles. the front axles are the wide gt front axles, and were FT blue. well, there was no way i was gonna keep them blue. so, i stripped those with greased lightning. you can kinda tell in the pic that they shine alot more than the tub, since that was glass beaded.

Re: Another what's old is new build............
so here are the towers for this bad boy. my custom designed .89 front tower for the 10t bulkhead (from my b1.5 build), and one of atlas's rear worlds towers.
now i can start getting this thing together.

I really like the look of that front end. Would a team car shock tower accomodated those shocks and arms if you drilled it to fit the 10T bulkhead, or is it not tall enough?

well, you'd have to drill the holes at the right spot so it would be tall enough. i also won't say if it will or will not work, since i've never tried it. but i don't see it working out too well. especially on a tub chassis because of the nose brace tubes.Mikeyboy wrote:I really like the look of that front end. Re: Another what's old is new build............
did a little more today while i was downstairs trying to clean up my disaster area. it's amazimng what you find when start moving stuff around.
but anyway, i had to mock the back end up before anything became permanent. i never tried installing the gear cover after i mounted the b2/b3 motor plate, and i knew i was gonna have to do some alterations on the arm mount to gain some clearance. so, a little angle cut on the back of the mount, and cut the screw flush with the top. now when the gear cover screws are taken out, lift the bottom out first, and it comes off nicely.
now when i soaked all of the white parts for this in peroxide, i did a stealth case too. but i'm pretty sure i'm gonna use the 1.96 rpm trans. being as though i'll probably never run more than a 17.5 in this, i won't have to use such a large pinion.

Nice J. Exacatly how much did you cut off (or leave) on the chassis sides. That looks like a nice balanced amount to maintain the strength without having to add strips (which arguably defeat some of the lightening effect of the cutdown).
