I find it interesting that Futaba's brown wheel radio was different than this. This seems so much more logical. I would have thought that the only reason Futaba made that radio the way they did is because they didn't realize yet that there was a better way. They obviously had to have known about this one before designing theirs. Just seems weird is all. Cool info.

ive seen vintage pictures of those futaba brown wheels where people commonly modified them with a slot car pistol grip so they could pull the trigger to accel and steer with the wheel... pretty cool idea then
