There is so much similarity between the TL01 and the TA03 rwd. I guess Tamiya just thought, hey why don't we make a shaft drive that looks like the TA03 and bam, there was the TL01. Overall, I liked the TL01 but I kinda really dislike the whole uniframe, if you busted a shock mount or bent he plastic like I did, you had to replace a whole new chassis...and the gray light weight chassis is hard to come by.
