Ahh yes, that is a simple thing I did not even think of, could I not also use regular old 3/16 shims a bit thinner than the stock spacer I would think. Or wait, they would have to go inside the hub, which is what I think you are saying, on the outside the driveshaft would end up in the same place. So I tried spacers on inside, which does move axle in of course but then the wheel rubs ball cup at hub so that is not an option.

But just to make sure I understand what the experts are saying, I have a regular non CR bulkhead and whatever universals came with this car and the new MIP ones appear to be for a CR set up. The MIP package does not indicate CR at all.

So when I get my CR conversion pictured it will all magically work

Move the ball stud in hub carrier to lower position then wont rub or bind the wheels.Cr conversion hubs give you more room not to rub the wheel.I ran my xx with all stock parts and cr rear hubcarriers til shelfed it.DON

OK thanks, as soon as I read that and looked, I thought why didn't I think of that. :) That will indeed give the clearance, and if my new arms don't change the axle postion, I will play with spacers and be good to go.

Since I have this one and one more roller on the way I know I will have all the parts I need in one form. I want to run this at least in one vintage race next year before it gets shelved.

Actually this thing runs very well. It is not far off my new RC10B4, though I am not the greatest driver so to me a Tamiya frog might not be far off.
