Pulled out my stash of NIB parts the other day - just to make sure I had enough to build a new shuttle..I do - but missing decals

Re: AYK VIPER
Awesome Viper Darryn, I'd love to check one out in the flesh. Very purposeful appearance, top quality and just oozes style. AYK Viper is the second best looking r/c cars I've ever seen- second only to Hirobo Jealousy. And I could not afford either of them- bummer.
I LOVE VINTAGE!!!

Hi Jason,
Thanks for the advert on this thread for my car, however I dont need anything for the Viper at this stage.
Perhaps BST is the way to go?
Great bunch of guys here.
Cheers,
Darryn

Re: AYK VIPER
Nothing ever comes close to a rollcage in terms of looks! Bulldog, Javelin, Viper, Zerda, LandJump... the meanest looking cars ever!
And Amongs them the Viper is probably the most gorgeous...
Darryn, how did the Viper/Shuttle ever perform on the track? Trailing arms, full metal, was it ever competitive?
Paul

Re: AYK VIPER
D1 - yeah - been pretty well, extremely busy with work and family - but still make time for the vintage racing and building (never as much as I would like though!). You have to come down to one of our vintage meetings soon, I will make sure that I bring the vipers with me. I have a new built Viper and new built Viper Shuttle (actually havent finished it yet) as well as my runner Viper.
Paul - I have to agree with you 100% there mate, the roll cage buggies certainly are some of the toughest looking buggies ever. My fav's are the Viper (DUH!!) and the Javelin. Others definately include the Gallop, Bulldog and Zerda. One of the best looking buggies with a half cage was the AYK Sidewinder - such a sweetlooking 2wd buggy.
The performance of the Viper was barely "OK" for the time sadly. The suspension really lets the car down allot. The drive-train is not too bad, however when the car was released the "next gen" cars were already hitting the tracks, leaving the Viper behind. Having said all that though, when I ran my new built at the first vintage meeting nearly 4 or 5 years ago now, I actually was pleasantly surprised at its performance. Will see if I can dig up some pictures of that car and meeting for you all if interested.
Cheers
