Re: 2010 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS OFFICIAL THREAD• SEPT 16-
maybe I missed it as I haven't read all 9 pages, will racing still be on sat/sun as in previous years or will the first round of qualifying be on friday?
I'm planning on bringing little miss aconsola(Angie) to run her frog in novice classics. Hopefully we will get permission from the queen to leave on friday morning and spend 2 nights.
I'll be running 2 classas as I don't think 3 will be possible with having to run the team, just gotta figure out which ones.

Ok good!
.
Thank you for posting that also!
Anthony, schedule will be the same. I always include Friday in the date to include a day of practice. There's also talk of the track being open Thursday.

Reg the track is great and it barely changes and certainly doesn't rut as much as we're used to.

Re: 2010 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS OFFICIAL THREAD• SEPT 16-
Eric, can I run a silver can in classics class, or is it going to be like a spec class? I ask because I took my Sand Scorcher out for a test drive the other day with the silver can and I had a heck of a time trying to control it. I know there is a noticeable difference between a Sport Tuned and a regular silver can. I'm willing to handicap my speed in the hopes of keeping my bug on the track.
And... have we come to a decision about motors for the heavy metal class? I have two old rotten silver cans in my Clod now. It is ready to race, minus motors. Are we going with 27T? If so, I'll probably get some Sport Tuned motors in hopes of trying to keep up with the pack. Or, can we do all silver cans in this class? Or maybe all Sport Tuneds? I really hope there is a good Clod turn out this year.
I really need to know so I can figure out the equation needed to figure out my trajectory for the best Monster-Jam-freestyle-session-on-a-bunch-of-King-Cabs.
Sneak peek of my special made J Concepts Chevron super softies.

Re: 2010 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS OFFICIAL THREAD• SEPT 16-
I was hoping to keep it with the Sport Tuned motors to be honest with you Melvin but if its something where you can't race because of it then I'd say run the silver can. The entry will still be the same and you'll still get a motor but you know the rules aren't so rigid that I'd ever have someone not be part of the race.
As far as heavy metal its still going to be 27turn unfortunately. I know we had talked about trying to get handouts but I just couldn't get enough to cover that class too. I'm still trying some other companies but with that said, no one really makes anything less that 27turn. I say you had it right last year and even for this year... just put something in there to get yourself on the track and have FUN!

I don't think that will be a problem with anyone but if it is we'll do our best to get you something to run. I have plenty thats for sure.

I'll be flying in Thursday night. Be at the track bright and early Friday morning. As of right now, it looks like 4 Tennesseeans will be there total.
