Sprint mish mash build
Here is a spare parts build that started to take shape a little while back. Kind of a mish mash of different parts and mfg's but it should all bolt up. Basically an rc10 without much RC10. Most to all are aftermarket rc10 parts. Kind of got me to thinking how you can fairly easily build an rc10 without one Associated component. Anyway, here is what I have so far.
Shortened Ascot chassis,
BBT Cage and nerfs
Hot Trick rear pod
Hot Trick steering
Hyperdrive Belt/Pulley system
BME offset wide front end and shock tower
B&B coyote staggered and offset wheels and foams
Advance Engineering hubs
Hot Trick shock collars
Andy's front a-arms
Not sure yet what I will use for shocks. I suppose standard gold fronts but it would be cool to find something aftermarket as well to keep the theme going. Who made aftermarket shocks? The only one coming to mind is the HG clear shock bodies.

Re: Sprint mish mash build
The best shocks back then were easily Kyosho Golds. The Duratrax knock-off was a distant second. Anyone who was serious used those with Associated shock hardware and springs.

Re: Sprint mish mash build
i could possibly come up with a pair (maybe a complete set) of nip option house equalizer shocks if you are interested.
Re: Sprint mish mash build
That is a sweet looking kit. I too would want either red or black shocks.

Re: Sprint mish mash build
Thanks for the comments guys. I would have to agree, I need something different than the stock gold. Red, Black, clear or option house gold. I also need to find a used bme shock tower that I can dye black or red. The one in the pics belongs to another project.
