With the alloy chassis and its seven battery slots... I think a one-piece topdeck is highly recommended

i gotta agree with that haha, that thing is gonna bend like a pancake with a heavy load under a big jump, you get a lot of "rebound" off jumps when its too flexible. i used to see it to a lesser extent with associated stock carbon fiber chassis's, but aftermarket fiberglass/graphite ones were a LOT stiffer...

the stock traxxas TRX1 chassis is the most solid peice of fiberglass i have ever felt.

I'm still impressed with the old losi chassis, even though the center layer is just epoxy, those oldies are as stiff as my MX-4's full woven carbon chassis

well im thinking of having a couple of bends put in it before i get it coated . i picked up the diy top plate today from the home depot 8 bucks its an 1/8 "thick so i will be working a lot of material out of it to lighten it considerably

so i decided to go with the black nip ultima arms and it will be a hand full with seven cells so a nice thick cf top should stiffen it up

i went with a zx5 steering will probably use a high torque 1/16 scale steering servo
