Re: Mad Max 4 !!!!!
The last good spoofs I can recall are Airplane, Hot Shots 1 & 2, and the Naked Gun series. The misconception about comedy - perpetrated by, but not limited to, the likes of SNL and Mad TV, is that stupid is "funny".

Re: Mad Max 4 !!!!!
Okay.... bust a myth time....
Jason (Bormac) is correct in saying that Mad max 4 is doing the rounds again.... has been mooted / in preproduction / casting for longer than I can remember (although...... what the hell did I do last week???)... but he's just off in the title (as stated by Lowgear), it's "Fury Road", not "Road Fury"... no problems there, just Jason going off half-cocked.....
As for it being bad because of Hollywood's ineptitude.... well, it's not being made in Hollywood.... so lets hope that is a vote in it's favour. Also, it's being made by some of the makers of the original (the ones still alive, anyway), so that's another possible positive. Couple that with Mel not playing the lead character, and you're well on the way to getting somewhere.
Personally, I just hope it's more like the first movie rather than the third.... and we get to see some proper car crashes with proper, heavy, poor handling, overpowered, badly-braked cars. That's what Mad Max is all about.
Hmmm..... on that last thought...... this movie could be just what the US auto industry needs!!!! lol...... jokes, guys....

Re: Mad Max 4 !!!!!
But the original based those cobbled-together road warriors on the types of cars that were around back when the movie was made. Fury Road will have its big battle scene between an army of Toyota Priuses and Honda Fits.

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Re: Mad Max 4 !!!!!
Good point, that Hollywood is not making it.
Hollywood still makes good films now and then. The last three films I saw in the theater were all great, Gran Torino, No Country For Old Men and Wall E. All big Hollywood movies, all great.
I hope they're not going to just try to re-launch the franchise to make some bucks and have it be like every other movie out today. I think it's totally possible to make it the way the originals were made. Whether or not they do it, that's something else. I hope they don't Jar Jar Binks it up!

Re: Mad Max 4 !!!!!
Sorry I got the title a litle mixed up....Durr!!
What some of you guys just dont realise it that the Australian film industry here prides itself on making some darn good films. Remember 'WOLF CREEK' andyone? There are others too. Even our government is supporting our film industry and have supplied the post preduction factory free of charge to these guys so they can do this next Mad Max movie and Happy Feet 2 .
Im betting there might be more live action stuff in this film than what most are thinking.
