Re: An Optima Mid, finally!
There are several OTW-9 plastic parts trees on eBay,right now.
They have the battery mount posts, spacers, battery straps and undertray mounts.
I suggest you grab a set, while there are some around,I put it off and had to wait 6 months for another set to become available.

Re: An Optima Mid, finally!
They sure did.
The Turbo Optima Mid Special.
Sold as both a complete kit in very limited numbers (two kits per store) and as a conversion kit,for older, short wheelbase Mids.
You can see below exactly what the kit included.
Even two sets of different compound tyres, one set labeled as 'Hard' and the other 'Soft'...
I have a manual,if anyone needs a copy.

Re: An Optima Mid, finally!
This one started as a Turbo Mid, that's the manual that came with it. It also had white wheels with the same size tires all around, like all other SWB Mids. Then the previous owner added the LWB conversion, along with a few nice options.
FasterLouder: I do have the battery mounts for this, I'm just trying to figure out my options on the saddle lipo. My 4800 Trakpower packs are not really perfect fit. I'm thinking of getting the newer packs that are about 23mm in height so I can use them on my other 4WDs as well without modding the upper decks. I can't wait to run my BXF!
Paul: I think I know exactly which one you're bidding on. I'll be bidding on it as well, but my budget is limited so you'll probably win.![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

I tried my sadlle pack LI-PO in and it fit good-it's a soft case saddle pack,I used it in my old Yokomo MR4-BXF and right now it's in my B44,if that helps.
I can imagine a hard case LI-PO would be a tough fit, though I have seen a photo of a car with one in it-I just can't for the life of me remember where,or what mods were done
That OTW-9 parts tree comes with two different height spacers, for the battery posts, maybe try those,or if they don't work some velcro straps a'la PureTech might do the trick.![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: An Optima Mid, finally!
My problem is the fitment of the pack under the top decks. The trakpower 4800s are so darn fat with 30mm height compared to the more recent ones at around 23mm. I already poster my packs for trade/sale.

That OTW-9 parts tree does come with spacers?
I have a soft case 5000mah 20C LI-PO I might be willing to trade for your Trakpower LI-PO?
It fits,too.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: An Optima Mid, finally!
Very slow progress, but it's getting there.. Found a couple sets of IP4200 Lipo saddles, they're perfect for the Mid. I was able to use a stock/unmodified upper deck which I got very cheap. I'm planning to change the ball connectors with the newer version from the RB5 soon. Aside from that, only very minor things left to do like turnbuckles and some shimming. I'm happy it's starting to look like a buggy now.

Re: An Optima Mid, finally!
Although not a big deal, I'm beginning to think this car was actually a Mid Special. According to Marwan the body without the bubble on the left side of the cockpit was unique to the TOMS kit and was not offered as a spare bodyset. No biggie, but good to know.

Question to the Mid experts: I was putting my Mid SE together last night and I couldn't get the ball diffs together properly. The diff screw bottoms out but the rings are still loose. Where can I find a manual or exploded view of the ball diff assembly? I scanned the TOMS, Mid SE, Turbo Mid manuals but they don't have what I need. I wonder how I did the rear on my LWB.
Any help would be appreciated!
