ESE

Looks like the Blitz ESE is in stock at most online anyway HS's

Any one get one yet?

I think that's what I'm going to use my garage sale $$$ for. If I happen to see one in a LHS this week for under $240 OTD I'll probably pick one up. Will be the first new modern car I bought since the CE! Thing I'm worried about is I don't have any electronics. That's going to cost twice what the truck cost.

The Traxxas TORC full size offroad series has RC races at most of the events but they require it to be a traxxas truck. No other brands allowed. A few other rc racers are trying to get them to change that rule to allow any ST truck. Even worse than that is we don't get allot of the top pro teams from out west because some of them are sponsored by AE, HPI, ETC! They can come and race but can't have any of the sponsor stickers on the race trucks and I think the Hauler. I think its a huge mistake. The series is loosing out on so much exposure and $$$ by not letting them run. Competition is good for both sides.

I have to sit out the series this year and let my back heal so it would be nice if I could race one of these since I will be at most of the races anyway!

JK would be the man to talk to: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=15681
Our local track has a stock Slash class (bone stock, no other models) and in the beginning SC10 (Strike & Blitz) ran with mod truck. The track has now added a mod Short Course class-- open to all 2wd models. There has been talk of a stock SC class with ROAR rules (17.5BL) for the folks who want a ESE or SC10 but don't want to run mod. I just don't know if we'll get the turnout needed.
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Just ordered one from tower. I used a $40.00 super saver coupon. $199.97 shipped.Sold my slash awhile ago. First HPI kit for me in awhile. The last one was a Pro2 touring car. Any suggestions on wheels and tires for it?

Thanks dude! Im waiting to hear back from HPI on a proposal I sent to them. If it doesn't go the way I want I will get back to you on this. Might have to have you go rough someone up for me!

Thanks,
Mike

what are the "hot" tires at your local track? if you are just bashing, I would scour eVilBay and get a set of RTR stock tires, great looks, decent tread design and long lasting. stock slash tires are good too for general bashing, just get a full set from a 4wd or 2 sets of rear from the 2wd.
