maybe the radio is just a POS like the LRP esc i bought a couple years ago for my kid's truck. i don't remember which model it is off the top of my head, but it's the kind that automatically sets itself up every time you plug the battery in and turn it on. when he'd be driving it and flipped it over, the throttle direction would change. reverse would be forward and vice versa. unplug the battery, wait a couple seconds, plug it back in, it'd work fine. but every time he'd roll the truck, it would act up.
