Just to clarify this is the none RC10 and none vintage RC section right , if not I'm ready for a telling
I haven't picked a paint scheme yet, it's going to be a runner so I think I will stick with white (to hid the scratches when they occur) and some one off decals. It runs on Wild Willy II wheels/tires with a body lift kit but no axle lift.
This is also the first shots with my new camera, I am just learning to drive it.

Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
Your going to love the truck. It's just me but I like to paint everything eventhough I know it will get scratched. In fact I did my first boo boo on mine a few days ago. at first I was gutted then I thought, well thats what they are for.
I'm not too good at painting I'm sure the white will look way better than I can produce. I've run it a few time and I do love it, I don't know how it compares to the original 3 speeds but nothing has fallen off it yet so that has got to be an improvement.
I waited ages to get one of these, I didn't want to pay the full RRP as I wasn't sure what this 3 speed thing was all about, I bought it from a TC member built but never ran, fully ball raced and with a Scollins interior at the right price. I would recommend this car to anyone wanting a scale truck and chassis it just looks soooooooo good and runs soooooo nice

I have one too and I love it. I can't believe how hefty it is. It's not very fast but it's perfect for scooting around the backyard and driving over rocks and tree roots.
They are very similar to how the old hilux ran except better. The transmission is more stout and so are the axles. I have done a few things with mine. I replaced the steel chassis with an aluminum one and installed an MFC-02 sound and light unit and aluminum wheels
Ferreti,
You could just paint it white and don't forget the glass coats.
That way if it scratches you won't see too much, but it also won't start going yellow.

That's a good idea , I never even thought about it discolouring.

Here's what I've been working on for the past week and a half. My new Tamiya High Lift F350. It's mostly stock, I added full ball bearings, RC4wd aluminum wheels, Juggster brush guard, a Tamiya Sport Tuned motor and I did some styrene work in the...

Wow, that is a good deal. I still like the black finish though. I guess I could Krylon the thing.
you could have them annodized also but really it looks pretty good when you polish them
I was itching to build a new kit, and had been eyeing the High Lift for a while now. I had also been watching Mountaineers on ebay, but no way I was going to pay $700+ for one that was half way decent. I've owned a Bruiser and a Mountaineer and they...

I bought my son an SE BMX bike. It's the Mauler and it has landing gear forks. Pretty sweet little ride.
I bought this rc10 today and wanted to see what people think. The one question I had was if the slipper nut is tightened all the way down, and it still slips, what’s the problem? Any help is great.

Ah, of course! I'd bet someone used the wrong grease. Ball diff's require a special grease which is actually not an ordinary lubricant. I think maybe this happens often.
Anyway, it's good to learn that you've gotten the problem sorted out.
our '04 stratus was starting to nickle and dime us, and the trans was a few miles away from needing a rebuild. so, we figured it was time to unload it while it could still get to the dealership under it's own power.
so being as though it's...

Good points about the auto-stick...does an auto-stick EXIST that really lets you shift in a performance manner like a standard? The computer overrides anything you'd want it to do that's outside of what it considers safe . :? My Torrent has that too...

i'm glad to know this because, frankly I was a bit embarrassed to have my lame attempt at paint included in the poll while other, obviously superior paint...
Long time lurker, first time posting. Anyway here's my ride. It started off as a completely red dyed car. Been slowly converting it to a more traditional looking one. Not sure if I got the pics correctly posted, but here we go. Pc110009.jpg rc10.jpg

Thanks for the compliments guys. How's the baby MOmo?
I think that color combo on the car really sets it off. If you have the time, I'd say go for it.
So far I've put about 3 hours in de-anodizing and another 4-5 in sanding because of the deep...
Ok, Ive been out of the hobby for only about oh say mmmm, 20 some odd years, but I still have my gold pan RC10 and it still works!!! I want to restore it. Basically I want it to look better then I was able to build it when I was 15 or 16, I cant...

That bad boy needs a thorough cleaning. Nice car, it's actually the early model you have there. One thing is totally wrong on it: the rear arm mounts are mounted the wrong way (left to right and right to left), your rear wheels should lean toward...
