Did you sand the bottom of the chassis berfore you sent it in to get some of the scratches out?

Yeah, I had to. Really the bottom wasn't too bad but I did sand the bottom. Teh guys stripped the rest of the chassis and made the bare aluminum look uniform before they anodized the chassis. The guy told me there would have been a noticable difference in the color if he didn't take care of it first.

He didn't charge any extra either.

Ok guys I got a little more done on the car. Painted the body with the only design I can paint, old fashion flames. I didn't want anything super flashy and I think the car will look great.

I am still waiting on my shock towers, and arms. Once I ge those items in, the car should be ready to go. I do have a template of the towers so I was able to cut the body and get it set up for the towers. I also went ahead and machined some wing buttons for the car since I didn't have any. Thanks to Brandon G for the wing and the wheels and tires.

I went ahead and posted the poser shot with the wheels in place. I also shot a pic of the back showing the trimming I did the rear of the car. Can't take credit for the idea since there have a been a few people do this to thier cars.

I went with the black noseplate because all the other parts on the car are going to be black. When the body is on the car the front nose will be seen easily and I din't thenk the red would look right.

Looks good Jake, once you get the towers you might have to trim the rear part of the body a bit.
the paint works well with the chassis. It is going to look kind of evel  .

I really like the black on red!

Is this going to be a runner?

Wow, that thing looks hot. Nice job. Some black dyed Rulux wheels would look sweet on that ride.

Thanks for the comments.

This will be a runner. I plan on finding some races to see how I hold up against the newer cars.

It has been years since I have raced. I bought a slash about a year ago and raced one time against the local boys. Out of a field of 12 trucks, I placed 4th. It was my first time racing since 91 and after one pratice run on a track I had never driven on.

I hope to have some updated pics soon.
