Nicely done and inventive car, no wonder Mr Ed is active here. Are the rear shocks working good in that position?

I wouldn't run the battery longitudinally, combined with the mid motor setup you'll be too nose heavy. I'd suggest running it transverse, as far back as you can...

Thats something I havn't sorted yet. I cant really run it down the center because it will be in the way of the servo. I was thinking of using a hump type setup with maybe two cells on top and back as far as possible. Im not sure yet. I don't have any but I've been thinking about lipos too. I know there is no hump lipo but I would like it to be able to use those as well. I'll try some different things this weekend.bgruen wrote:I wouldn't run the battery longitudinally, combined with the mid motor setup you'll be too nose heavy. I don't race RC's anymore but I would really like to see how it does when its done so Im thinking of sending it to someone from here to try out for a month or two. Its not rare so Im not worried about breaking it. I'll cover up the underside so it doesn't get scratched all to hell but thats about it. At the pace im going on it it may be a while before its finished. Would anyone be interested in this?
Would any of you guys be interested in a stealth drill template? I see the question come up often about how to drill the holes. I could make a few up and send them where ever for a small fee? Maybe $5-$10 to cover materials and shipping. All you would need to do is bolt it to the chassis using the A arm mount holes and drill the new holes. Id mark it some how to position it correctly. What do you guys and gal think?

If you're planning to go Lipo: check out the saddle packs. Those can fit in front of your moter in different orientations, and they can fit various 4WD's that don't accept stick packs

I too like seeing crazy compilations of different buggies to come up with a functional masterpiece. I am wondering how the suspension will handle...I guess that depends on weight distribution too. I like the rear suspension setup, looks cool.
