Re: rc-10 with an RC-10B3 transmisson.
Just spent about 2 hours at the local track. It runs good, but I need to work on the steering.
And all my nice paint on the bottom is scratched....

Re: rc-10 with an RC-10B3 transmisson.
Got a chance to race at the local track and the VNATs this past weekend. This car pushed like a dumptruck in the turns. Couple guys told me to use heavier weight shock oil. If that does not work I might upgrade to dynatech A-arms, B4 wheels/tires and better shocks.

was your car the one with the silver tub? I thought it looked pretty good out there. Sorry I didn't have a chance to come over and chat for a bit, my car was being a handful too.

Re: rc-10 with an RC-10B3 transmisson.
I was running a brushed Trinity Co27 with EP3300 mHa NiMh batteries. I started with 83/22, but it did not have enough punch out of the turns. My last race I tried 83/20, which was much better, but I still might go down a couple more on the pinion.Motor'n wrote:Were you running brushed or brushless? How was the gearing with the b3 trans?

Late Christmas present.
Need to find some time to finish this re-build now.

Nice build, sonic... but I think your new motor is in the wrong place.
JRX2 in the late 80s... have since come to my senses with the RC10T, yes of course it's vintage! Wife is always destroying her Tamiaya LunchBox to call me her personal mechanic a few more times. Enjoying the fresh build of an RJ Speed Digger.

Re: rc-10 with an RC-10B3 transmisson.
Hobby Shop in Belmont, Ma. They had two when I went a couple months ago.
Update:
I just called Alex's Hobbyworks in Belmont, Ma to find out they are no longer in business. It was one of the last good hobby shops left in my area.
