Re: tamiya Monster Beetle
Neat.
Let's hope now that the Frog & Sand Scorcher re-releases are a reality, that Tamiya will do the next logical re-make.
Bring back the Monster Beetle!

Re: tamiya Monster Beetle
I've always had a soft spot for the Monster beetle and why wouldn't I? The thing looks damn cool and driving one would be a lot of fun.

Re: tamiya Monster Beetle
Very cool video. Made me want to restore my old Monster Beetle. So much so that I picked up some new chassis rails off of the bay today! That will make in progress project #4 when they get here. Oh well, can't have too many irons in the fire I guess right?

Re: tamiya Monster Beetle
Im pretty sure they are Yeh racing shocks off e bay.
They come with 2 sets of springs and are alloy threaded bodies with mounting hardwere. They are cheap at $15 Au a pair. Come in different lengths of 10mm increments from 50 mm to 110mm.
Thanks Jack for putting me onto them.

Re: tamiya Monster Beetle
One last question if i may: What size did you install front and rear for the Beetle?
Thanks for all the help, it's gonna be fun trying to rebuild my Beetle after roughly 20 years!
