Re: 870c shocks ?
hmmm i know we all used to run 1.02 associated rears and i'm thinking .71 fronts but it could of been the shorter ones, sorry half there hopefully someone can remember the front ones.

going by the parts list for them, it says the associated replacements are the .56's and 1.02's.

Re: 870c shocks ?
Yep that is correct for the 870c, the .71 are for works and later. You can still buy the .56 and 1.02 hard anodised shock kits from tower hobbies.scr8p wrote:going by the parts list for them, it says the associated replacements are the .56's and 1.02's.

Re: 870c shocks ?
for ease of adjustment, i used the threaded shocks on mine. the rears are standard threaded 1.02 front truck shocks, but on the front, i used tc3 threaded shocks. they're a .56 body, you just have to swap out the .35 shafts for .56's.

Re: 870c shocks ?
Word or warning. If you go with the gold shocks you may have problems getting seals and top caps to fit. Associated changed to hard anodised in the late 80s early 90s so they wouldn't look that out of place.karnivool wrote:gee that looks nice, love that green colour very much. ill consider that, to be honest i try and stick with period gear, just cant get my head around mod stuff on old cars.
