Any Two Guys Garage Fans?
Anybody here watch Two Guys Garage? I never watch and just happened to flip on Speed this morning, and I was totally blown away...... it was, 'HEY I KNOW THAT GUY!, That's the Bird-man (Kevin Byrd)." I worked with him during my Ford/Roush days in Michigan and he is also from my home town in Florida, went to an opposing High School across town.
Just sharing my excitement. It's not every day you see someone you know on TV on a regular basis.

I used to watch that show all the time when it was Shade Tree Mechanic. I have only seen it a few times since it went to the new format, with the one new host. Is the new younger guy the guy you know, or the older guy that has always been on there? Pretty cool that you stumbled onto someone you know on national TV.

The new younger guy with the receding hair line. I also noticed some gray in his sides since I have seen him last, some 3 years ago or so.
Whenever Speed or TLC does a special on Ford's I usually see a handful of people I know or worked with in the past, but those are one off shows and mostly I just see faces, maybe they talk for 10 seconds or so. The last two they did, the Roush Mustang Special, was like a blast from my past only because I worked on that vehicle program. And the Raptor, the SVT F150 Pre-Runner, which was the last program I worked on before I left Roush. It was kinda of cool to see that stuff, but like I said I just see the faces.

I used to watch that show all the time. The older guy has been gone now for sometime, although they have him make cameo appearances. Kevin is an awesome welder/fabricator. He always gives tips on welding and I have used some of them with good success. Lots of good info.

Re: Any Two Guys Garage Fans?
Yeah, that's him. It started with Rides and the Daisy Program (or the Cobra Roadster). The executive producer, Bud Budsman (spelling?) hit it off really well...... got my face on that episodie too
. After that, Bud invited Kevin to be on a number of other shows, I think primarily Overhaulin. There was another guy that was on the show a bit, Greg Coleman, an older guy with gray and a mustache who is Kevin's right hand man at Ford Powertrain. Greg is the guy that did my engine (and still has it) for my Shelby.

Re: Any Two Guys Garage Fans?
I watched this morning for the first time in a while. When did that show become a paid advertisement? The entire show featured Z-Max, and literally there were only 3 minutes of segments that didn't feature the product in some way. Then Bryan does an interview with Bruton Smith, and it's a freaking commercial for Z-Max!
The show was always kind of product heavy, but this whole episode should have had a "THIS IS A PAID COMMERCIAL" graphic over the top of it.
Good to see how far Speed has come since Fox took over.

Re: Any Two Guys Garage Fans?
its how all the automotive shows are who ever their sponsers are thats what tools/parts/etc are gonna be from and have banners and large logos everywhere. i used to watch it when i was VERY young when it was shadetree and it wasnt my fav but i did like it plus i got to sit on my pops lap and him teach me all the car stuff i learned from 3 years old to 13 or 14 and i learned alot by reading since then but he still teachs me many things. i really like horsepower tv when the guy chuck was on it the cool thing was he actually built cars for a living. i remember the chevelle wagon they had i beleave it was a 70 it was years ago before muscle cars were stupid expensive and where cheap and availible in the usa. it went from a 283 to a bigblock car before all the big wheels protouring stuff was big it was just raw 60s styleing and parts still.
anyone remeber that?
