Opinions on the jrx2 wanted.

Post by vwjuice »

Hey guys there is a couple jrx2's for sale near me. I'm wondering what everyone thinks of them. I have never dealt with them before but they come rtr with all vintage stuff. Are they good racers? I would like to race them against a few gold pans.

Thanks for the input guys

Justin

they can hold their own against any rc-10 :D
I say get them and post pictures, or post pics first. One word of caution, A lot of the early losi cars are advertised as jrx-2 because of the logo on the front bulkhead, but are actually a different model.

Yeah the original JRX2 has a shorter wheelbase, 5 link rear, and came with the 5 spoke rims and shorter front shocks. The rear of the body hides the tops of the rear shocks too.

Ok cool thanks guys. I've been waiting for the people to get back to me on them. I have a choice between those and a gold pan or a ultima. I love looks of the rear suspension on the jrx2's. The trailing links just look cool.

If you have never owned a 5-link than you need to scoop one up. They are fun as hell to drive and cool as hell to look at and have. If it is a good deal snag it up.

Well I've never seen one in person. I saw one on craigslist and it's the car, quick charger, batteries(guessing Nicaea by the charger), radio, speed control, and a box of extra parts for only $50. The guy just said to email him. So I did that on Friday. Hope he gets back to me sometime. I would like to get it.

Love my 5 link, had one when they were new, and just recently got a new runner. For a 20 year old buggy, it can still run pretty well. I Have one with the longer front shocks and with the original short shocks. They both perform very well, of course the longer shock version runs a bit better on rougher tracks, but the shorter one works just fine. I am sure you will enjoy your new 5 link!

Getting ready for an upcoming Vintage race so I broke out the JRX2 with the 5 Link and the XX. The JRX2 was freakin outstanding!!! Great steering on and off power, jumped like a dream. It may end up being my daily runner!
