Yeah, those rear wheels are easy on the eyes.

I've started the transformation between my graphite car and the trophy car. This is where most of my black parts are coming from. I'll be putting all the appropriate white parts on the graphite car. So far I see that need a white early graphite rear bulkhead, white front arms and a white battery cup to complete the graphite car. In the end I hope to transform my graphite car to a box art model.

I'm making a little bit of headway. I've got most of the rear ends swapped. When swapping shock parts I notice the tub car has solid shock retainer and the graphite car has an opening on the side. Add a set of white slotted spring retainers to the list, oh and since the shock ball cups are white in the rear on the Trophy car, I'll need to find a couple of those too. I even took the time and took out the spline plate with the black gears and put them in the nice white tans case for the graphite car.....maybe I'm being too anal, but I want the parts to be correct for each car.

Will do, the list is getting a bit longer as I go through the front ends. I'll have to make a list after I get the two cars assembled.

Making progress now! For the Trophy build I'm going to need rear aluminum knockoffs, front aluminum outer wheel pieces, black metal locknuts for front shocks and a decent rear bulkhead.

I've got a list put together for the graphite car. I'll need to finalize that soon.

Cool build.

I love the original rear tyres on the RC10. Pure rubber porn. Yes I have issues

If you have issues, than I have issues too. I have that photo of those wheels as my wallpaper on my phone...yes my wife has made many comments

I found these on ebay, they very well could be the ones used in the original build. ASC No 6192. For that $50 I will try painting a set.

Getting a little further on the build today. I went out looking for a tube bender and didn't really find what I wanted yet so I thought I would trim the body. I also played around with painting the front wheels. They will have to do until I find the aluminum covers. I got the driving lights painted up too. I'm waiting for the knockoffs in the mail and will paint those when they get here.

Here is the progress so far.

Got started on the roll cage today. It's going ok, but going to be something I'll be better at once I'm done lol. A bit of tweaking once things are soldered up and she will be good. Once it's painted and covered it will look even better, lol.

Great project! It really has me standing at full attention. I thought maybe I should bone up on this thread. I may just pitch a tent and read thru the entire process. I tried to stand up, but really had to lean over in order to get a closer look. Looks like a real cream dream. I'm dripping with anticipation at what you'll do next. I could go on like this all night, but I guess I'll just try to get back to looking at everyone's projects...
