One thing I find amazing, is that we never realized just how aweful our cameras and pictures were back then. we just took it as being the norm.

Here's mine, I still like doing these types of graphics, my current B4 has one like it.

My CAT XL and then brand new SWB Mid, complete with home-turned alloys. Still have both cars.

Still got the same car in pretty much identical format, and the FTD trophy

Awesome cake! I agree, you're lucky to have those photos. I have a couple of envelopes of prints I keep hoping will turn up. Seeing these sparks my interest to dig around at my parent's house again...

Great looking at all the old photo's. As mentioned, photo quality was really poor back then

These are the only photo's I have from my racing days. This was an inter club endurance race at Southend, Essex in 1986 or 87. I was racing my Schumacher CAT (original SWB). I remember my ESC going up in smoke at this meeting and ended up racing a borrowed Optima

Here's some of mine, I've posted these elsewhere in the past. These pics were all taken around 87 to 88 time frame i believe.

Here's my RC10, the Hot Trick one found in my sig Sand Scorcher Clod and Monster Beetle (i think these were both my dad's, RIP ) Grasshopper (my brothers IIRC)

I dont have one picture of my rc days which is kind of sad but seeing your pictures here brings tears to my eyes of how good it was back in the day, no cell phones, ipads, apps and all this new BS much simpler time.
