With all the hub-bub lately on the 4wd conversions, I thought I'd post this ... nice MIP brochure and a parts list. Thought it might be helpful to you owners out there ... I have a higher resolution scan of both pages if anyone wants it. Just PM me your email.

Anybody ever ran this?
How does it perform actually?

In my memory they had belts not chians  I must be getting old

I have never had the experience of running one, haven't even made the time to finish mine.

The first MIP 4WD attempt was the cable drive (don't know the number of the kit) offered up for the Tamiya SRB and RC10..... then came the chain drive (as pictured), followed lastly by the belt drive in the Legends kit.

Oh dear, that' 3 times big money for the big collectors like you Jay.
Which version do you have now?

(If you ever need a summerjobber to come and build those NIB kits of yours , I'm allways glad to give a helping hand  )

Looks like Ed was right (well kinda/sorta)..... if you read the above (the first post), it states you could purchase a belt drive replacement kit for the chain. I have not been able to determine that the belt drive was available in complete kit form prior to the Legends kit.

I have the belt drive kit before the legends. I pieced mine together from spare parts http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=23780&sid=34 So I don't know if it was ever sold as a kit.
