Well, I was still not happy with the general look of this rig and decided to re-vamp it somewhat. I took off the plastic rims and replaced them with a set of Sees which received a quick polish. Also added one of my alu wings and changed the ugly blue screws from the shock collars for black ones. Springs are now silver to match the rest of the car. Better like that huh?

Cool JRX2 mate. Not sure about that Thorp/ Dirt Burners wing though. Its from a bit earlier era than the JRX2. Have you seen the ones with the more aerofoil shaped sides? That'd look really sweet on this car.

Its funny how certain parts become a favourite of yours, I love the original JRX2's orange wheels, the CAT's chrome wheels and Yokomo's original pink wheels. I believe my current favourite are the X11's orange wheels.

That JRX looks great. I really like the small touches like the HG damper bodies and the see's aluminum wheels

As for the wing, yes it might be from an earlier era but it's not to say that someone could have used it on that car. at least it's not from a later time frame than the car.

I understand your point Ed and be sure I've been there before  I always try to build my cars as period correct as possible, but sometimes you have to give it up because the look or the availability of some parts tells you to go another route. In this case, as I already have 2 other MINT and stock JRX-2's, I wanted soemthing different with cool hop-ups. Talking about these hop-ups, the trained eye would have noticed that the Hammad Ghuman VLT shocks and their collars are of course from another era, same thing for the white CVD halves, so I said to myself, a wing from yet another era would not add anything on the height of the molehill. It's just a car that came through the timetunnel and got back on my shelf

Put me on that list, I'll take 4!

As an aside, I'd like to applaud Associated for continuing to make parts for these vintage cars. It's getting near impossible to work with / restore old Losi equipment.

I have received a lot of PM's concerning the Jrx-2 bodies, I do still have 3 uncut-unpainted ones and hope to lend one to Mike when his vacuum device will be ready to repro bodies, stay tuned guys!

I took some time today to install an A&L Power Clutch and RPM wide track a-arms on it. The A&L thingy even came with a motor cooling plate, as if the Litesink was not enough :P

I suppose you had to put in a different topshaft for this A&L slipper also?
I like the combination of those transluscent shocks and the glassfibre parts (and you know I don't care the least bit about era correctness ;) )
