News to me. :P
owning a design shop (or two or three) is a bit different from being a designer.

the agency i work for charges somewhere around 300 bucks an hour for my time, i am not lying...

as for the collection, i couldnt manage that as a full time job let alone a hobby!!! how the heck does he find the time?

money aside, i got much respect for somebody who takes collecting to that level. imagine how cool it would be to browse through all that?

Hoop, If you and the rest of the members on here combines everything i still don't think it would match what he has, though there are some here with extensive collections.

Hmmm Whose for an RC hall of fame or an RC Smithsonian?

Ya no kidding. I work through an agency that charges Pepsi 125/hr and then Pepsi bangs that up to about the same as you. I swear me, you and Doug should do our own thing so we can have all that stuff Olivier has too! lol DAMN THE MAN!!!

You guys should consider web design. It is on top of the money heap for IT stuff right now.

I do it on the side (and I suck) for about $100 an hour. I use templates and pretty much make the customers choose their colors and layouts. As for designing, I have the abilities of a carrot. But I can copy and paste like a mother....
He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too.

I showed the pics to my wife last night and she was blown away.

You really have take your hat off to Olivier with all the attention to detail, time spent, organization, patience,..... I could on and on. Nothing but respect from me to him and what he has created there. I can only wish that he works to share what he has accomplished there with the rest of the world. If I ever get the chance to or decide to visit Germany, I would love the opportunity just to take a walk through.

I haven't heard from Olivier myself in awhile, but you won't find a nicer buyer in our little world of collecting. Also, I wish he would be more public and join a forum of some kind, but on the same token, I can respect his desire to be private.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

He says he is working towards a car fair style show of the RC's from across the ages! Goodness knows when it'll be but it'd be great to visit and see everyone there if it ever happens...

Hats off to the guy, I don't know him but it's an amazing piece of work that collection and just boggles the mind.
