But they sure look like the rims.

The the older Rustler fronts do not have the hex in the wheel, they use standard 5x11 bearings. I think all the newer Traxxas trucks are using hexes now.
My front wheels were only modified to compensate for the longer Tamiya axles.

they still use a hex on all 4, just like the slash...

i believe that is a proline nissan hardbody (the body)...I used to run that on my ultima truck conversion running dirt oval...way back, early 90's.

Cheers for that, all auctions go live in an hour, I will add that as a possible ID for the shell, with the wheels, I was going by my Stampede, which I had to buy 2 hexed and 2 bearinged wheels with different offsets for it.

Looks to be Tamiya. I think the Fox uses the same MSC. For sure there are more models in the same era that has that same MSC.

I've had these tires since 1983, so that's the only clue I have. The id is closer to 1.25" or 1.375" than 1.5".

Then I have these. There are real similar to the Edinger/Kyosho/Cox Scorpion/AYK Good Years we are all used to seeing, but they are 1.5-1.7" id. I have a hunch it's some Mauri or Kyosho buggy, but I have no idea. They might even fit Bimdapogs Losification frankenthingy up there ^

looks like an ultima of some sort, with a fair amount of custom parts.

The rear looks like an amalgamation of Schumacher and a custom direct drive setup, and the front looks like it is Kyosho stuff. Supposedly the original R&D Terminator used Kyosho front end parts, but I am not 100% on that. Maybe somebody was trying to emulate what they saw at the track..??
