Looking good so far, how are you going to do the rear tower? DA graphite I think made that one for him out of the sparkly graphite. If you got a piece of regular graphite you could probably mix some glitter and epoxy and paint it on there.

Aaaaahhhh crap! I'm about to get passed by that orange truck!
I probably ask a friend to make a sheet of carbon fiber with the same finish !
This one was made by JD Beckwith I think
Thats on of the most difficult part to find or to do, but the front towerr looks also really hard to do, that's a special design with just one hole and a really thin carbon sheet !

But I confident, I just need time !
Thanks for your comments
It looks like Graphite doesn't it? Rather than carbon fibre as there is no exposed weave?
I do the best copy as possible as the original Kinwald body .
I collect the different stickers since a long time, now I'm just missing the pink sanyo and pink Team turbo...
Today I build the shocks and finish to machin the rear bulkhead.
The last RCPS turnbuckles comes shortly .
If somebody could trade me a compete bag of the last design white balls cup (hex all along) to a compete bag of the original design (cylinder and hex) I appreciate.
cedric, how about adding a couple pics of kinwald's car to your original post in this thread? most people know what it looks like, but for those who don't, it can be used as a point of reference for what your trying to build. just a thought.
Well getting a deal in the works here for a BRAND NEW XXX BK2. It is assembled from brand new parts with a few tasteful mods.. getting a NOS CR body with it as well. Already have repro BK2 decals as I haven't find originals yet..

That's why I said, see if someone here has that copy and could scan it properly. Or, look on ebay for the issue and buy it.
Some of you had a look to my replica of the Brian's 1993 World Winning RC10 Team Car.
Probably less knows than the car was stollen few weeks after the race, in Japan, during the Reedy Race.
As I promised, I had started my new project, the replica of the Brian Kinwald 1997 World Champs winning XX.
This is really special for me, just because, that's my first travel for a big event.
I had a lot of good memories during this race.
As being...

Maybe I’m missing it in the thread - but interested to know what proline wheels they are?
First and foremost, a HUGE shoutout and appreciation to Larry Doe for helping me make this dream a reality. Larry was kind enough to bring my car down with him for the IFMAR worlds this past week at Hobby Action Raceway in Chandler, AZ for me to...
It all started with the thread that Cedric did on his replica of Brian Kinwalds 1993 WC car.
I've read that thread over and over again and it's such a beautifu car.
Now with the rere of the world's car I immediately put down a pre-order and waited...
Got to race Brian yesterday all I can say is class act. Still fast too!

Yeah, he's no longer a losi guy. He races for X-Factory now. As for Competition Hobbies, that is where he races. I've never raced there, but I've picked up a few parts and stuff. They have a really nice indoor track (which is great here in Tucson)...
Really late to the party on this one (I'm out of the RC scene nowadays) but found out today when I was looking at the TLR 22 5.0 Kit - on the front of the box it says 'In memory of Brian Kinwald'. Really nice touch, such a icon in RC racing.
Got this car as a new built roller from a fellow member a while back. Gradually collected up the electronics I wanted to go in it and installed a Trinity Cobalt modified motor. Basically everything is new. Got a heck of a deal from Bill Cline on the...
