This is a tribute to the great line of RC10 buggies produced since 1984-2009 (RC10 - RC10B4). This is a work in progress. It will take some time and help from fellow members, as we all learn new things about the different versions. So please be...

Hey Guys
I am brand new to the hobby level RC world, and am looking to get into it. I was looking at an electric monster truck to start off. Anyway, I mentioned this to a friend and 3 days later he shows up at my door with an old rc10 and gives it...

Sorry, I edited.
The part number is 6129 according to the manual. Is this what I want?
It looks right, but the part number isnt listed at tower and I just wanted to be sure.
My next question: How do I get the old one out? Tap it out with a...
Would either of these Turnbuckles work for a Gold RC10? 1 5/8 or 1 3/8 or BOTH?
If i remember correctly the 2.05 inch turnbuckles on my graphite RC10 had to be ground down so they could be shortened enough to put some negative camber in the rear...

If you have a heat gun, or even a blow dryer, you can warm them up and they go on easy as pie. Like chocolate pudding pie with whip cream and cherries, and I don't mean those fake cherries either. :)
I think this is going to lead to lots of rolling eye smilies  thrown at the newby but we will see. As it stands I have my lovely RC10CE :) , a 6010 that needs some work :? and the future vision of a composite project using parts I got from...

These are the parts I'm going to put them in the trade section to try and get a direct swap for black ones, I think they might be too good to dye. I will specify what's up for swap there. :)
Ok, I preparation for my World's build up, these are the questions that I have come up with:
1. What color are the rear axle/bearing hubs? White or black? The manual shows the car with white, but a pic of the parts in black.
2. What color are the...

Hi , this is my RC 10 gold tub resto , i start with this and now after some cleaning but the chassis have some dammage.
I want to make a Jay runner replica, soft replica with whites wheels but same paint.

I just pulled this out of an RC10 I bought off ebay for parts. I think the car probably has 2 or 3 hours total time on it as it was assembled with mistakes all over it and the performance must have been terrible...Just look at the wear on the thrust...

OK yeah you're right I think that blue thrust washer is cooked too...I'll get a new set just to be sure...cheers!!!
Not a bad choice to use Powerpoles. That's what I run. When I had my race car, that's the same style connector (roughly) that was used for the auxiliary battery hookup used when starting in the pits. I ready an article somewhere stating the...
it came on a beat b2 i got off ebay. i dont think its an ae body.
i'd like to see if i can find a new one for the rpm chassis since it fits better than anything else i've tried.
thanks in advance

naw its not the hot bodies stealth fighter, i'm pretty sure it was an aftermarket body for a b2/b3.
is hot bodies to hpi like pontiac is to gm?
i would put a 6010 body on it, but the chassis wishbone on the rpm is so high that it makes contact...
so, i've been trying to figure out how to do the upper shock mounts on my trailing arm chassis. i had an idea of using angled pan car servo mounts to match the angle of the arm. so, i picked up a pair of composite ae servo mounts, and mounted them...

well, they look like the 1.02's to me. and with your measure ment, it pretty much confirmed it. right now, i'm at 3 1/4 center to center. i think i'll have to try some .89 bodies. i'm pretty sure that the .89 shock kits use a .71 shaft. so, that...
Hi all, been reading the forum a few days and decided to post finally. I'm basically new to the hobby. I got a Grasshopper for Christmas when I was 10. I saved and saved ( I grew up dirt poor) for a Frog. Finally got one and then I spotted an RC10,...

Yes, a current B4 rear wheel will work on a B2/B3 axle setup. That's what we run on the dirt oval cars. A front B4 wheel will take the proper bearings, but will also fit on an original axle. You may want to swap out front spindles and carries for...
i picked up a gold tub rc10 locally and also got a graphite chassis with it, i am trying to switch evrything over to the graphite chassis . When i put the steering arms in i noticed the threaded ball ends come real close to the chassis is the...

when your using the stock bellcrank on a graphite chassis, you need to use an 8/32 nut under the bellcrank, to actually tighten the screw to the chassis first. the nut is taller than the washer, and should solve your clearance issue.
Can someone post a couple good naked pics of a 93/94 box art Worlds car so that I can see what I am missing? I have seen hoopty's collection pic, but the pic is too far away to pick up the details. Thanks in advance.

I'm fairly sure this is a 6 gear car (I don't know the number) I've had a look and compared it with the pictures on the AE web site but if anyone can confirm it that would be great. I got it from a UK seller on ebay and paid over the top (some you...

Thanks badhoopty, this is the only way to learn :D , it’s plane bushed on the front wheels and the box too I think so a 6010 it must be. Thanks for looking Chewbacca.
I know this car is old to you guys but it’s new to me, it’s my RC10CE :D . I have just received it from the U.S. and it's had a long journey. Some (if not all) of you will recognise it, as it is very distinctive and has been posted before. This car...

Just wondered if anybody has a set of arms made by Quarter Flash, for the RC10 way back when? I had one set, nip, which I traded to a friend in Australia. They were the most interesting things, being that the hinge pins were actually...

Finally! Some progress in building/restoration for me. I found, after much searching, a decent Hot Trick chassis to go with all the parts I've collected over the years. The nose plate is not perfect, but I've yet to see another Wide Foot front end...

Its kinda hard to tell the color of the motor can in the pic, but if it is a reddish/florescent red then it is a 16 triple (speed gems ruby). If it is more of a florescent orange can, then it is an 11 triple (speed gems topaz).

Cool man. I never have been to a Nascar race. I used to really like it back in the 80's and early 90's. But, around the mid-90's or so I began to loose interest, and when Dale died that was it for me. It just isn't as exciting as it was back then....

I have always been on the hunt for a newbuilt 6010 for while now. I have passed up on a few on ebay and sometimes wish I had not. How much would I expect to pay for one? How much would my new built CE minus the aluminum wheels be worth. My thought...

yea, the arms mount closer together on the chassis so they are longer without increasing overall width. (you gotta narrow the rear of the chassis, and they have special a-arm mounts that hug the stealth)
I thought of this a little while ago. Finally got around to making it. To protect the front end of your graphite chassis, take an aluminum nose and cut the front angle off. Then, you'll need to cut about 1/8 or maybe a little less off the front of...
