This is a tribute to the great line of RC10 buggies produced since 1984-2009 (RC10 - RC10B4). This is a work in progress. It will take some time and help from fellow members, as we all learn new things about the different versions. So please be...

Question I haven't found a firm answer for... it seems some RC10's have much whiter Nylon than others. I'm not talking about dirt or oxidation/aging etc.. just simply as they came some cars had much whiter nylon. I know this because I was fortunate...
Are the 1.9 tires the tire that fit the really old RC10? the jelly bean rims. and if so is there a tire made now that you can use to replace them with and still get.
And the same for the front tires. What size are they and can you still get...
Last post
Well I don't even see a set on the bay. I saw a set of fronts but they wanted $38.00. so i'm out at that price.
so I guess the 1.9 are for the TQ rims?
Anyway I went in the barn today and found some NIP CRP front tires and a set of Trol 1.6...
just joined the forum. I've been poking around and like the info on the site. Thought I would post a few pics of my gold pan before I start full restoration. She's been on the shelf for a long long time

Hello everyone, I found this forum today and have been flooded with memories.
Here is my RC-10, I think it started as a ball bearing team car. At some point (after hacking the stock tub) I upgraded to the RPM front and rear with the double deck...

Very cool survivior from that era. they are a few really nice examples of these on the board.
This is my first RC10 so it's been a bit of a learning experience. I went to a vintage meet last week, took off on my first heat, thought the car was a little slow, it did 4 laps & just stopped. The esc had turnd it off as it was hot.
Now, I have...

I have a nib champ car that came with all black parts. I recieved a tekin chassis nib from ebay. I plan to to combine both kits to build the tekin chassis kit to a complete car. Whats the active link all about . Do I need any other parts?

You have to take the nose plate and bend it to change the kick up. And I would hate to see you mess up that Team car.
you don't have to do that, just like you don't have to use the losi hub carriers. with their testing, that seemed to be the best...

Hello I am new to this fantastic board. I have found a ton of useful information and lose the subforums for the different makes of all the old school cars. I do have a question though; what makes a care a works car? I have seen this in many posts...

Works typically means a factory special. More an English term than American.

Hello everyone, new this forum. Long time UK based Tamiya fan but I saw some of shodog's RC10s on Tamiya Club and I thought wow they look great I'd love one of those. I got lucky tonight and found this auction

That was the plan, just a simple shelf queen. Got enough parts to make a few runners, maybe make a team shelfer too. I've never seen those weird cars before but I am UK based. :)
dont know much about 6 gear trans i had 1 over 10 years ago and sold it now i have 3!! i just rebuilt the 1 on the left (nice 48 pitch gears inside). but it did not have bearings on the outdrives . so i went to take the bearings out of my stock...
Last post
Yep, sand them down a bit at a time until the bearing fits on. These parts, whether stock or the 48 pitch are not exactly 3/8 so once in awhile, you have to massage them to fit properly.
Use a high grit sandpaper, maybe somewhere around 800 grit or...

Okay, this one is kind of a Frankenstein of parts that I think will go together pretty well in the end. It started as a NIP composite craft chassis 10T oval chassis, and not wanting to built a 10T out of it I decided to add a set of bart's (R.D)...

I posted this rc10 before when I got it. It's a 1989 RC10 Graphite. I've since got some new parts for it including a new bodyset which I painted in Masami's colors. I also had decals copied.

If you're not too particular about the wheels you could use HPI's Vintage series of rims and tires. I've mounted them to my RC10 for on-road bashing. It requires the HPI wheel adapter kit for the rear and the Mod to mount TC wheels to the Traxxas...
Just picked up a full set of crp front axles and rear adaptors with the extended wheel nuts for the rc10 to mount tamiya rims {frog , grasshopper}on my rc10. I noticed that the proto rc10 has the tamiya front wheels on it . what do ya think about it.

My brothers first RC was a used Fox. (XL2P still works!!) When he got his RC10, one of the mods we tried were putting his Fox wheels on the '10 with the CRP kit. Looked good... Eventually he put the Bean wheels back on, and the Fox stuff was tossed,...
Can anybody tell me anything about this sprintcar body set. The seller said that it was a direct fit for an RC10...the decal says Parma but does anybody know anything else about it?...like how it fits and what else I'd need to have to mount it.......
If anyone could point me in the direction of a website or list that details which parts are interchangeable between models it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not really interested in restoring cars to number-matching shelf queens. I'd rather score...
