It's been a good while since this car has seen any action but I feel this is long overdue. This car is an ongoing build in progress and after it's last (and first) run I worked out a few areas that needed more attention.
This car was pulled down...

Wow this thing is sweet talk about needle in the hay stack :o
After two years of collecting parts (used partial Radiant and Pro Radiant cars and NIP parts) and six months of off and on building (almost as slow as scr8p! :D ), my Pro Radiant is complete:
--Used chassis plates
--New and used suspension...

Thanks thumb! Yeah, I was glad he could just keep following the car :D .
Yes, it does run smoothly, although with that special sound that only a chain can make!
DennisM: to answer the burning question, I actually made it flip, but definitely not...
From what I can gather, Paranoia was a Japanese company. They made original diffs, spur gears etc... I even saw some C Hubs for an Optima after searching this board. J.M. had a thread of some different parts but all the pics are gone.
So as luck may have it, I was able to snag a basically brand new rarely used Radiant. Off of Craigslist of all places. This time it's complete with box (in decent shape), speed controller, radio, bumper... all the good stuff I was looking for, for...

Actually a month or two. I lowballed him after it was up for a while but since it wasn't a pro radiant I wasn't willing to up my offer.
Haha seriously. Dang, I know its not a Pro, which would be awesome... but I figured, hell for a good price it's...
After a long, hard search trying to find something--ANYTHING--to replace the thin-shafted stock axles on my buddy's Buffalo (one of which broke at the dogbone end while trying to remove that weird-ass lock-washer that practically welds itself onto...

Still way too much for the budget for this car, unfortunately. I'm not putting $50 axles in this thing. :)
Ok i picked this up at a flea market this past weekend and there is a lot of response on my other thread so here is its own thread with what i have learned about it and if anything catches ur eye that i havent seen please let me know as im not at...

 I don’t know what I was thinking when I laid down a bid on this Buffalo if I didn’t have enough project as it is. :?
I don’t know much about AYK except that the Buffalo was realest in -85. 8)
Hey guys, I haven't had much to say over the past several weeks. Lots going on with my family and it's summer so less time to think about rc. :?
I got a real vintage ride too, a 1981 Suzuki GS1100E. Between that, the car projects and other...

Hello,
I joined this forum because I have an AYK Buffalo and internet searches kept coming back to this forum. About 2 years ago I tried to repair a nitro duratrax truck for a friend and it was ready for pickup. I gave it to him when we were...

The screws came in. Socket head cap screws were available or wait for phillips head and pay more. So SHCS it is... I like the look of SHCS even though they are on the bottom of the chassis and stick out a bit more than phillips. Ah well, time to...
Well got this off eBay for 55 bucks (Less the rear wheels and AE shocks on the back)
I just gave it a tare down and rebuild and it was in pretty good condition, The AE shocks are temporary, I have a set of front and rear AYK shocks in route from...

I just got offers for two old 1/12th cars AYK NX101 and Mugen Cosmic. Both are not complete and maybe not in perfect conditions but interesting cars. I´m sorry I have no pictures currently for posting.

A few years ago I build up a Boost for the race track. On its first race I clipped a side board and snapped the factory steering levers which sadly put the car out of the event.

Are the viper Before the Radiant, Boost. Or after. I should think before the Radiant.???????
Its been a long time coming but I finaly have myself another Viper. I bought this car from a TC member and it was in pretty poor shape for a 'mint' car. The front has seen a small colision and has been bent back into shape.
So I picked this up at a Swap meet a few weeks back. Pretty cool RC and rare. Chassis rails are broken but looking to see if I can find used ones. I sent an e-mail to InetRc to see if they can help me out. So far I have not heard back from them. I...

That's a pretty good catch Jason. Most of the pics I've seen of other team cars show them with the AYK shocks. I'm sure there's others out there, but mine is the only team car I've ever seen that used the gold shocks.

The Kyosho diffs can be modified to fit the Boost gear casings. I had Bugle machine me up some bearing carriers from Delrin. They basicaly step the smaller Kyosho bearing O.D. size from 14mm up to an O.D. of 17mm (that of the AYK bearing). Also...
