TRX1 project with DA Graphite Iridium chassis

A while back, I bought a large lot of cars, mixed in was a 10T with a 'sparkly' chassis. Dug around and found it was a company in the 90s that did this glitter infused graphite parts. DA Graphite. Logged it away in my brain and went on building, racing, selling some of my RCs. Ran across an opportun...

Re: Our boys down under.....

A couple of factors came into play that caused the fires to become so deadly. A dry lightning storm came through and lit nearly 1/4 of the state on fire. Couple that with the current drought, hot dry winds from the center of the country and poof. It was the lowest monthly rainfall on record, hottest...

Re: Traxxas lawsuit against Hobbico

Here ya go Traxxas, chew on this Huanqi 727 Slash “clone”. Besides the electronics, color of parts and tires/wheels it’s identical. But....it was $132 shipped to my door I just needed a rig for mock up. This fit the bill a lot better than $400. Sorry Traxxas. Less greedy and I would have bought you...

Re: Brat Steering

They're direct steering, so just need a large after market servo saver (Kimbrough, etc), links and ball cups. Standard Tamiya ball studs are 5mm. You'll need to measure the rod lengths. But any 4-40 should do (generic cut-to-length, pre-cut titanium, etc).

Re: Brat Steering

Oh wait, I need to clarify... Tamiya uses metric hardware. If you're using the existing previously installed kit ball cups that have already been threaded to Tamiya rods, then you'll want to use metric rods, not 4-40. If you're using brand new cups, then you can use either 3mm (metric) or 4-40 (stan...

Re: Brat Steering

ORV steering knuckles have the ball already installed... wouldn't try changing to larger ball, ain't much meat there to work with. How many servos are you installing? Steering servo is offset due to original designed 2nd MSC servo next to it; if you don't need that then it makes sense to make your o...
