Oven cleaner is the easiest and fastest method, just don't leave it in there too long, 5 - 10 minutes at a time.

As one who has played with rocket cars I can attest to the thumping chest and the wondering if the cops are gonna turn up comment

Well here we go again with another engine overhaul. This time it's a late OS .15CV-X. I managed to pick this engine up from the hobby shop for $20 as it was locked up solid. It was quite dirty and the filter foam perished but the engine appeared to be in reasonable shape. 20250126_225612.jpg 2025012...

Engine stripped bare ready for cleaning, it actually came apart pretty easy with the exception of the crank which required a little persuasion and persistence. 20250126_230839.jpg I love these parts shakers, the only thing better would probably be an ultrasonic cleaner.
