Re: Trying to make a Tra**as SRT fast !
I'm really surprised these Polypro pinion gears held up fine in a big stadium truck with no slipper and good traction! The spur gear is thinner as well but the pinions are only 2.5mm thick. 20231107_210100.jpg Just to give you an idea they are plastic pinion gears and that black pinion next to it is...

Re: YZ-10 for dummies? - 93' WCS
The guys down here are pretty nuts for vintage stuff which has really taken off in recent times.

Re: Trying to make a Tra**as SRT fast !
Same here Rob, it was great catching up with you, seeing your cars, telling stories etc. It was definitely a fun event and I enjoyed watching your car. There are quite a few great pictures of your car ! 4wd's went all the way down to an E main ! Updated photos that my missus took. Resized_20231104_0...

Re: Trying to make a Tra**as SRT fast !
The #2520 came with two gears, one small which is the same as a stealth diff gear, and the other larger.
I can take a picture of it if you like.

Re: Trying to make a Tra**as SRT fast !
Time to tear the whole truck down to check for bent or broken bits, I don't expect any since I didn't really crash the truck or have any bad bingles. The chassis has some wounds though and I'm quite surprised at how much the back of the fiberglass chassis is worn after only 15 minutes of practice an...

Re: The "Golden Age of RC" meaning
Personally I think the golden age was mid to late 90's when RC was at its peak. There were hobby shops on just about every street corner full of stock. Buggies were big, stadium trucks were big, nitro was awesome, monster trucks were big, pan cars were big, offroad was booming, veledrome racing was ...

Re: Trying to make a Tra**as SRT fast !
Not that there was really anything wrong with the old gears aside from gaining a rough texture from the dirt I decided to replace them anyways with a new gear set and flipped all the diff rings. 20231113_215124.jpg While I had everything apart I stripped the anodizing off the slipper eliminator as i...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Not exactly in the post today, maybe 2 - 3 weeks ago but I only took it out of the box today. I bought a Buds Motor Analyzing Dyno to set up a motor station. I know it reads some sort of RPM likely based on voltage but I'd like to set up an optical RPM read out to get a more accurate reading. I also...

Re: RC10CC classic clear wait list....
I always have to put oil in, the first thing anyone does when they pick up an RC car is to play with the suspension. On a Losi this means adding oil every few months  I don't put oil in my runner shocks half the time.... why would I put it in my shelfers? :?: Wait.... what shelfers??? ...
