The last of the Associated rear motor trucks...... it will basically be a mirror build of my other truck without all of the extra goodies. I started with a cheap low use T4.1 RTR. 20210126_212216-1024x576.jpg First order was to strip it down to bits and pieces and build it back up. Everything was pr...
Niki drew up the front bumper mount/skid plate which adapts a standard 10T bumper to fit the T4. The whole thing fits seamlessly. Due to the prices for original parts I opted for a 3D printed bumper instead of an original.
This is so cool.......................................... Thanks :D Moving onto the rear...... Stock shock tower on the top, Jeffs shock tower and mount on the bottom. 20210323_214359-1024x576.jpg Niki drew up some extended rear body mounts as they needed to be longer. 20210324_231321-1024x576.jpg ...
Thanks..... It is very similar to the other truck but doesn't have all the fancy parts. I think it will still turn out pretty cool in the end and capture the vintage feel. Transmission and trans brace installed, quite a bit different than the original design. 20210324_233324-1024x576.jpg Rear suspen...
Either that or I just need to stop buying RC stuff and buy things that I actually need...... Nah, then I'll be in poverty too! :P :P :P :P   Looking nice, mate..... needs some gravel rash, though. I'd be better off pushing it through the grass doing sick jumps while making vroom v...
At least it's a roller now, I didn't bother doing a build thread as it's just a stock T2 with Lunsford turnbuckles. I just need to make up a rear spoiler and to decide whether to glue up some onroad tires or offroad tires. 20210328_215944-1024x576.jpg 20210328_214606-1024x576.jpg 20210328_214627-102...
I thought I'd give myself the kick to get going on it again after a tough (non covid related) end to the year..... I've installed the shift light into the factory wiring and it works flawless. Set to a conservative 5000 RPM, in second gear the speedometer reads about 80 MPH, bang third and before yo...
One of my friends loaned me some brake bending/flaring hardware so now the pressure is on to finish the brake lines so I can give the tools back. Playing around with them I think I'll have to buy some gear as it's not terribly expensive. They didn't have a tube straightener and I just couldn't cope ...
