Old ESC's you should be fine but beware of putting drills through multi layer PBC's as you can ruin them.

The Daytona is awesome, why havent you restored it yet ??

I would say water in the fuel combined with a bit of rust.
The sleeve is proving extremely difficult to remove without ruining it, so it is soaking overnight to hopefully free it up.
