Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)

Looking really good sandkil, I'm beginning to suspect you might be making your own rear chassis brace! Thank you bluewormx, No no I'm wainting to see how the GP3D motor plate and guard will turn out. I think they are being anodized as we speek. The biggest visual different to original are th...

Re: External Circlips Retaining Rings ID

Sorry for bumping a thread with no Yokomo connection, but
I just needed to vent the fact that McMasters think it's sane to have a $65 shipping cost for a $9 purchase.

If admin wants to move this thread to Associated On-Road Forum, that is fine by me.

Nice! Where did you find all those threaded bodies?
Thanks, It was a local hobby shop. I just found them by chance as they were not searchable on their web page.

RPM 7077 "91 WORLDS" RC10 Team Car Front End Kit

A little side project. I’ve had this in a drawer for a while and decided to get it cleaned. It’s quite impressive what a thorough clean can result in. Boiling water. Simple green. Toothbrush and pipe cleaners. Brass brush on the Dremel and Birschwood Casey Super Blue for the hardware. No hydro perox...

Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)

Can you show how the back of the body is cut out for the rear mount thanks Hi Hugger19 Masami cut his body just aft of the rear shock tower as he didn't use the rear budy post. He used velcro on the sides. The pictures of Masami Hirosakas car in the Associated book don't do justice as the car has b...

Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)

Okay.. this shows what color scheme I’m going for..
NOTE! Do not mix Faskolor and Tamiya’s PS rattle can paint. Faskolor do not like it at all!
I got my work cut out trying to fix the body.

Bolink LTO XL

Here's a question for you.
I have a Bolink LTO XL and there's no manual in it. I do not know if the manual got lost over the years or if Bolink even offered a manual for it.
Anyone know if there were a manual for this kit?

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)

I´ll have to say Tekin 410K.
It was that highly sought after ESC that you never could afford and so different from all others.

Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)

Here’s something I noticed when cutting the styrene battery hold down. As Masami removed the bottom of the battery cups he probably had to grind down the height of the cups so that the battery cells would have a snug fit….. well that is my theory. Compare pics and look at height of the 4-40 socket h...

Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)

Have you test fitted some batteries to see if they are loose with your current configuration? You could run a strip of dense foam tape on the underside of the hold down if you didn't want to shave down the cups. But if you are going for a super replica....... Looks like the tops of the socket heads...

Refurb Novak HPc

While waiting on parts I decided to refurbish a Novak HPc ESC.
Birchwood Casey aluminum black is really helpful when tidying up the cooling flanges.
The Novus 7136 plastic polish kit does the trick on the housing, a light rub with alcohol on the wires along with a new plus wire and we’re all set.
