Anyone Else Collecting Radio Shack Rigs?
Just wondering if anyone else is picking up nice RS rigs when they run across them. Kinda junk, and mostly kinda silly, but they still have that nostalgia about them. I only pick them up when in box, and usually barely used. I know exactly why they are in that shape, and why there are LOADS of them ...

Re: Anyone Else Collecting Radio Shack Rigs?
I wish I had loved the Radio Shack rc Jeep I got for Christmas when I was a kid more than I did. :( This is my theory of RS RCs of the '80s. Kid tells parents they really want an RC car. They have seen other kids (or adults) racing them, and they want one bad. Parents go by the local hobby shop, an...

Re: RIP Ernie Provetti (Trinity)
The best way to answer that is to just say, it’s best to never meet your heroes.TokyoProf wrote: What was Ernie like?

Finally getting around to building a clod
I’ve wanted a clod for a long time. It’s just never been a priority. Figured it was time to build one. For the first one, stock gearboxes with “bolt on” parts. Later I’ll build a fancy one. I am a huge fan of cantilever especially with proper geometry so there is a progressive rate to it. Even thoug...

Re: RC10L
I don’t have the number handy but McMaster carr sells the nylon washers. You would need to measure one to compare. As far as donuts, I don’t know anyone still selling them but if you want tires professionally installed there is a place on Facebook called gone bananas racing skins that mounts and tru...

Re: GoMachV’s 3d printing thread
The RB10 and DR10 gear diff is a little narrower. I believe it’s the same width as b5 series. B6 ball and gear diffs are sold as complete so it makes more sense to offer this with that fitment. Otherwise people would need to buy a lot of individual parts.

Re: JRX Pro ebay find, runner rebuild
Going through some stuff i realized I had an extra set of truck threaded shock bodies. The shocks on this car weren't a matching set and on top of that the silver front bodies don't seem to seal up to the newer style of cartridges very well. I needed an excuse to use my new ultrasonic cleaner so I c...

There was The Hornet, The Super Hornet, The Comical Hornet, The Hornet Jun Wanatabe, The Hornet Supreme... Now the Hornet has more sting with the infusion of a mid motor position RC10B4 gearbox, independent rear suspension, and a 10.5T brushless motor with The Hyper Hornet! 😳 Anytime Baby! Build thr...
