GoMachV on here, Jeff Malar (Factory Works) and I have agreed to have Factory Works take over the carbon fiber cutting! What does this mean? You will no longer see the Vintage RC...

Jeff is definitely a great choice to carry on the cutting.

Re: Kyosho Double Dare Refresh
Some useless knowledge as I put the "shocks" back together. Each wheel has two, one is internally sprung, and the other has a limiting tube.

Re: SWB TRX-1 BUILD: UPDATE 16 MAR 2024
Yikes. Time. Passes. Anyway, apologies for cannibalizing a rear Eagle/Bullet tower. Too much MacGuyver bitd, I guess..

Finally found a Triumph
Been looking for last couple of years and grabbed this from Japan. No one really rates these but ive always has a soft spot for them from the old Hobby City days in Auckland, This one needs CVD's and the battery clips etc, but not in bad nick. The double belt gearbox is supposed to be pretty ineffic...

Re: "TRX-2" ('92 Reedy Race Inspired)
Rick Vehlow was the driver. But it's not gonna be a true replica. Screenshot_20231003_224535_Samsung Notes.jpg Edit: going with a Furatani "replica". The V-low-pro version of the TRX-1 body is kinda too expensive to reproduce. Have you thought of the team blue groove narrow trx1 body? It’...

Re: Finally found a Triumph
Also a few other bits to add eventually, not sure about the electronics yet, I am planning to run it. Team Penguin does an undertay and gear cover, the rest is TBG, always quality. Belts (TM17) were hard to source, found tough racing, but they have a sketchy looking website and wouldn't ship to New ...

the new Tamiya Pajero is just terrible... so I did this
Tamia's new Tamiya Pajero is a real weird animal. They left the lift kit on it, assumingly because it's the only place to put a moden battery, and left the gearing for a monster truck intact but they put smaller tires on it. While I did not run it around in stock form because I couldn't bring myself...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - October 2024 ** - Winner - TheDiamondOne
Entering my Kyosho Pro-XRT stadium truck. Picked this up early 2021 and spent a little over a year collecting needed parts before starting the build process. Finished the build and installed electronics a couple years back, and just recently finished the body which is a TBG repro with MCI decals. Tr...

A&L Custom Team Truck #4 of 5 or 6
Hi all...adding this here because there are others already posted in this section...Daryl Lane gave this truck to me, his last personal truck, a few weeks before he passed in 2021. As such, I can see his touches throughout and it took me some time to get to working on it. As it currently sits, there...

Gold GT
I wasn’t the first, and soon won’t be the last…. I started this build a good while ago along side my gas buggy. Just ran out of clean hardware then lost motivation. I wanted to wait until the truck was finished but it’ll be old news after everyone has a gold chassis. Now that Associated is releasing...
