Re: Mid-motor Losi XX
Front brace reinforcement from Factory Works. You just have to drill one hole into your front brace, which is a small price to pay for the extra strength. Serviceability of the XX makes itself known here, because you need to take out the hinge pin to remove the brace. However, taking that out means ...

Re: Mid-motor Losi XX
So I'd say it's about 99% complete here. Need to do little things like set camber, ride height, etc. I added a few things like a battery brace (not shown here, but it's in the videos) and JC Racing Products repro XX front arms. Those arms are noticeably beefier than the stock XX arms, but you may ha...

Re: Mid-motor Losi XX
I got to the bottom of the bending of the rear T-plate, which was affecting the rear tower and wing angles. Basically, the Kyosho UM733 part that I had mounted, I pushed it too far back. That was lifting the motor mount slightly and causing some flex. So I removed that part and tried a different app...

Re: ** Jconcepts Vintage Clash of Champions and Old School Reunion - Hoosier R/C Hobbyplex, New Albany, IN - March 28-30
I am surprised to see "tires/wheels open" for all of the vintage classes. This track was "slicks only" every time I went. The lady in charge was not too happy when I asked either, as if I should have known even though it was my first time at any track in 30 years. A 5 minute har...

Re: MIP 4-10 rumor #63, this time maybe it's real?
Stop falling for the bait, guys. MIP re-releasing a 4-10 Legend kit is about as likely as Hunter Biden serving a jail sentence.

Re: Heratige Class discussion/petition VONATS 25'
It would be a challenge to convince Erich to add this. I can highlight a few reasons, looking at it from his perspective. 1.) First and foremost, VONATS is about having fun. Adding another competitive class is thematically inconsistent. 2.) Fitting it in would be a challenge. Saturday is already ful...

Re: Economic Viability of an R/C Track
There is generally an inverse correlation between competitiveness and friendliness, for lack of a better term. Racing is intrinsically competitive. If you have a track geared toward beginners, you'll help people grow into better racers, but then eventually they outgrow your track and move elsewhere ...

Re: Kyosho Pro-X & Pro-XRT
I'm a big fan of this platform. Having raced them multiple times, I would say it's a more robust and generally more tunable platform than most other chassis from their time. The Pro-XRT in particular is a rocket ship. Really, really great truck to drive. Each of the Pro-X and Pro-XRT have a few weak...

All of these duct tape and band-aid issues would almost have you believe that owning an RC10 is an exercise in masochism...

Re: ** 2025 RC10Talk.com Roostpalooza - April 12-13 - Insanity Race Track - Boonton, NJ **
I mean there is a reason im bring different tires and compounds. Also the dirt there is an unknown factor, the track is normally hard packed but we get to run on it before its packed unsure about the composition. Also the track conditions will surely change a bit throughout the weekend. Half the fu...

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
Took a few comparison pics along the way compared to our 2015 original Ten4. Still working on sourcing a set of our original Robinson made pulleys and idlers to show for comparison, but they went 15t which is exactly what we did, and the same belt as well. They will find that this skips a lot, as w...
