Re: Stealth Trans w/Gear Diff
Funny you mention that about making a gauge to have printed- that was exactly my thought as I’m tired of spending a month of waiting and $25-35 on failed prints. Mine have ended up loose in the bore, but I’ll have to find the case and measure it to be sure how far. The last one was probably usable ...

Re: Stealth Trans w/Gear Diff
The right case has been updated. I've added a counter-bored screw hole inside next to the diff gear. This will align with the existing bottom hole in the motor plate eliminating the need to modify that part. The original screw hole remains but has been resized to allow the case halves to be screwed ...

Re: Stealth Trans w/Gear Diff
The main drilling template is finished and has been used to make a set of test plates.
Hole locations and gear mesh is good.
On to the prototype gear cases for running tests.

Re: For Info TH-1 Yokomo Adaptors
Im not sure if I’ve missed this somewhere already but for information guys, good news, someone is now producing two versions of the TH-1 adaptors, one standard and one reporting to be replicas of the ones fitted to Masami’s 91 Steath car. Is it someone we know? Quick search on eBay and they’ll turn...

Re: For Info TH-1 Yokomo Adaptors
Hope the move is going well, super jealous you made the move to Idaho, such a great state. Illinois, is frustrating, at best  Unfortunately we are stuck in communist Portland (outskirts). The wife isn’t nearly as committed to leaving as I am. Sucks, because I saw a lot of places in Idaho t...

What do you do when it's raining out? Monster truck backflips down in the shop! Finished this truck about 2 months ago, finally got caught up on "real work" where I was gonna take it outside and bash it, but rain & 25mph wind today  Didn't let that stop me from having some fun in...

Re: CNC side work
Sorry for the interruption, but this reminded of a comedian who said "Yeah, I mow lawns on the side. I pay another guy to do the front and back."

Re: Stealth Trans w/Gear Diff
Glad to hear Sally is leaving. We are still deep in smoke here, enough that i am not working in the shop at all. That case is looking great! Really nicely done! So, the final step is to drill the screw holes for mounting the case to the chassis and the top brace plate and its spacer. This is where ...
