Re: and the graphite finally makes an appearance
It's just taking a while to duplicate the FanRC parts. They want to get it right. Patience is needed.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
Took a few comparison pics along the way compared to our 2015 original Ten4. Still working on sourcing a set of our original Robinson made pulleys and idlers to show for comparison, but they went 15t which is exactly what we did, and the same belt as well. They will find that this skips a lot, as w...

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
So I'm just catching up , they copied ( stole ) the 2015 version that had issues that you rectified in the 2025 version , I've said it before and will again " there no qualifications , no interview or skill required to be a criminal "

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
They don't see it that way, they bullsh!t themselves like their kit is the natural evolution of their original 1985 chain drive 6 gear prototype that was never seen since then. I guess we both just guessed correctly 🤷🏼♂️😬 I feel like the pics speak for themselves. Fixed a little, in my opinion.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
Let’s face it boys, this all is just plain not cool… AE 150 percent didn’t even have to make an 4wd RC10. They never did and it should have stayed that way. Just messing with history and going about it in a real greasy way. I believe I’m right in saying that the only reason the RC10 was ever as succ...

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
Finished up the body work...
Never thought I'd see the day I'd own three 4wd rc10's, what a great time for retro RC. Can't wait to see the MIP kit, hopefully they still do one, I have a team car rere waiting for it.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
AE charges a pretty big premium for their stuff Yes, when you see what Kyosho, Yokomo, Schumacher are selling their rere's for. All of which do some nice upgrades and kind of re engineer the whole thing to address the faults of the original without being too different from original that became very...

Re: AE RC10 4wd .step files
See, you should have just waited for AE to come out with their copy of your design first, and then copied theirs...?

Re: Factory Works Ten4.1
Was originally going to go with a MSP RC blue chassis, but they told me they're not making them again any time soon when I asked they a couple days ago. for the cost difference, I would consider using a stock chassis and having it re-anodized. The MSP was ok, but felt flimsier than the stock chassi...

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)
So the plastics might need some brass sleeves to tighten up the clearances.
