Re: Team Associated Vehicle History

Hi Steve, I scanned the ad, and have it available as a PDF if you prefer. You would need to message me your email address. I will upload it here as a jpg for others to see. I also grabbed the great article George Siposs wrote in the copyright 1972 Model Car Racing book. Associated.jpg George Siposs ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Today was a good day. Piece of history here. A little cut up but mostly intact. These were designed by Leonard Wood of the Wood Brother racing. I’d like to find a piece of it that is signature worthy and send it off while I still have that option. 6D73356B-6D9E-475B-9CBB-E557DC6011D2.jpeg 4FE413A2-8...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

The manufacturer was TRC which I assume means composite craft made the carbon parts. The diff and nylon/delrin parts I’m not sure. RC10Resto has a thread on here and Bob Stormer has a good post on it showing the ad car. It has a Dynamite .12 engine on it, so it is later that I thought as well- shoul...

Re: Transmission question

the original 6636 grease that you ordered is made to allow some slip, it was for the 6 gear trans. The stealth lube does not allow as much slip. You are looking for the part number 6591

Re: Need help sourcing vintage RC10 wheels

The JC Racing wheels are a great alternative so you can run modern tires... These use the original 5/16 flanged front wheel bearings, so you would need to swap to those, but the rear is correct- https://www.jcracingproducts.co.uk/rc10 These say B2, which is the proper front wheel for you, but the re...

Re: Hi From South America

1) yes, CE and Team share the same arms. The color variations were running changes to both. 2) that’s a personal preference, I prefer my kits that are built to have era correct pieces in them. There wouldn’t likely be much of a discount because they won’t have a use for an old outdated radio. 3) per...

Re: Edinger? Time for some love

Well, here is my opinion. Back in the day when those broke you bought either Dubro or stock ones. Stock ones of the next era are not the hardest to find, but fairly expensive. Dubros that you buy today aren’t exactly the same as those we used back then, but close. It boils down to how original you w...

Re: What steering block is this?

6217 inline block and 6218 inline axle. They were used on all the long arm cars, but evolved into the aluminum inline set 6220 and 6221 later on. The black one you have was used for the short arm cars- but was dyed as they never came in black

Re: What steering block is this?

The ones on eBay are mismarked. See attached pics. 6221 and 6225 are the same, but 6225 are rerelease.

Green parts: not just for ball cups anymore

careful guys looks like there is more green stuff coming. These are fresh from amain so I’m sure we will start seeing more new “white” parts come in this ugly green. When shopping on eBay NEVER trust stock photos. Buy from independents with actual pics of you care about the color. The big guys will ...
