Re: DR10 Battery Sizing; Is My Logic Way Off?
If the C ratings are to be trusted, and using some numbers posted above, that means the 6200 (6.2a) at 120c would be capable of a 744a discharge rate. The 4750 (4.75a) at 175c would be capable of a 831a discharge rate. This season we ran gens ace redline shortys which are 6000mah (6a) at 130a, which...

Re: electricity 101
Deans got a bad rap because most of the “deans” connectors you see today are Chinese knockoffs and they melt. The ones on your awanfi will be Chinese knockoffs. I haven’t seen a real deans have a meltdown, but the knockoffs are junk.

Re: Help Identify this body?
Yours looks like the Minicraft Lazer body. Quite different from the sly one.

Re: Old Pistol grip radio question
Kyosho made the pulsar. Two variations. Tower also sold radios rebranded as their own but this was much newer. They were futaba radios. The early tower ground radios were stick.

Re: RC12L NIB
The difference in your scenario would be as follows. Your car has 3 miles on the odometer and you can buy one that looks just like it for $200 and drive it daily  I like to keep kits in the boxes but I like to have a built example as well. I see both sides, but once it’s built it’s loses that l...

Re: Old Pistol grip radio question
Yeah, I was thinking they made one that was kind of a copy of the first Magnum Jr. It didn't have the guard connecting the base to the top of the radio, but I can't find a pic so maybe it was just that one. I can’t think of anything that looked like the first futaba except the Hitec Challenger and ...

Re: Yokomo... But which one is this?
Even the lay shaft pulley for the front is a generic aluminum pulley- 3D printer parts. As Dennis said, there aren’t a lot of yokomo parts left.

Re: MTR 1213E - RC12 IFS chassis base
I’ve always heard it referred to as a 12is. 12i was the base, the “i” didn’t stand for independent, the “s” was added for the front suspension. It doesn’t appear that AE called it a 12is, they referred to it as a 12i suspension car or 12i shock suspension

Re: Old Pistol grip radio question
Early on brown and tan, even white were popular for stick radios. Getting into pistol grips things were almost always black. JR Alpina was grayish and looked nice. There were others that were gray but it’s so close to black- I don’t think it fits what you were asking. 131A764D-F2A8-481F-8AE9-E426965...
