Re: Copying Lexan parts

Steve Haskins of Penguin bodies does a great job, I have been thoroughly happy with my bodies I have bought from them. I don’t believe he is on here, but he is on Facebook and eBay

Also check your shock shaft stash. Can run a nut on one end and clip on the other. People will think it’s custom 8)

Re: Best tires for asphalt/street bashing?

Have you tried the Traxxas Anacondas yet? They are a 2.2, modern, available, and inexpensive.

Re: Questions About Custom RC Parts

Depends a lot on the printer. I have 5, and they are set up for different materials. Hands down the strongest material I use is NylonX (carbon infused) and NylonG (fiberglass infused). To print that, you need an enclosure and hardened nozzle. I use a ruby nozzle. It’s not terribly hard to print but ...

Re: Kyosho assault question

Not sure what parts you are referring to. The cone and backing plate for a CZ-1 and 2? Because it won’t fit the CZ-R unless you have a crank with the pin on it. That said- I do not know of any for sale. I make reproduction radio plates and bumpers for these. I’ll have them on eBay shortly, I actuall...

Re: Turbo Optima Build - Stripped Set Screw Receptacle

You will want to flip the nut around- the nylon portion needs to face out. It will be really hard to start the screw that way, and it won’t have much contact in the pocket. I bet if you flip the nut around and press it into place it would stay

Re: Now people can't stop talking about the 1/12th Fantom 4wd re-re :D

First gen fantom didn’t have front springs. The more popular MKII did. Really just depends on what they copied. This car more resembles a first gen, but I suspect they will add things such as the front springs. Rear suspension was simply chassis flex as with most pan cars of the day. The chain wasn’...

The originals were $199 iirc... in 1985 money that was $475. This ones a bargain! 🤣

Re: Need help identifying this car

Yep- that’s an Agi-Jammer. Made by ART (advanced racing technologies). Their pan car was called the Agitator and since this was a gearbox version, often referred to as a gear jammer, they took the name Agi-Jammer. I don’t know how official that name was haha.

Info and pics will be tricky.

The Associated DR10 street eliminator

Picked up a DR10 and as many already know- the stock 3300kv system is weak sauce. I had a couple motors to play with but nothing crazy. Hottest was a 7.5t Track Star. I didn’t think it would be enough so I ordered a cheap 3.5t Surpass to play with as well. Running a Gens Ace 2s 130c shorty and a mam...

Re: The Associated DR10 street eliminator

We must have had a good 200 people there and a mostly full parking lot- spaced appropriately for the most part. Everyone was respecting space well and we were visited by a cop but I think he was just checking out the action to be honest. Never got out just watched a couple passes. I’m ready for this...
