Just finished up the BOOM!erang version. Had to redo a lot to get the body to fit properly.

Let me start off by saying that I've never taken these aluminum parts seriously. I genuinely do not like them. Buuuuuut.....when the sets went on sale for $50 a while back I figured I'd try one. The fit isn't terrible, except the steering which comes with 4mm screws lol, and the rear arm mounts are ...

This one hasn't been too much into chewing on stuff in the shed but I keep a close eye on him. In the house he sticks to his toys and occasionally a slipper haha. Usually when we aren't paying enough attention to him. He knows it's wrong but it gets attention

Rear wing mounts, servo mounts, antenna holder and battery strap done! Although I think I'll do a matching kinwald style strap.

The black hardware helps it out too. Hard to see the black washers and nuts, but they are there.

Finished up the 6 gear and some other little bits. Wish my shocks were here...it's getting closer

Naw I will need to cut down the part of the tire that would lock into the ring on a 3 piece. It's a crappy fit. I would have expected them to at least make them compatible

Buying rtr sucks. Sorry Joe but it takes the hobby out of the hobby and turns it into just another toy. There is no feeling of accomplishment in pinning down a pre printed body and loading the AA batteries. Building the kit teaches you what does what and how to repair it. That's what a hobby is imo,...

Out with the jconcepts and in with the 2.2 Dhawks. For $40 they made a big difference imo
Also added the rere worlds body and Buds bi level

Yeah the stock green hardware on the rere are especially delicate. Team KNK makes a nice stainless steel screw set for about $20 that is very nice for runners

I hear ya guys, this is how my Dhawk ended up. It's hard to stop!
