When we started racing no prep 4 or so years back, mid motor cars didn't work at all. Way too finicky. In a year and a half everything competitive was mid motor. I like the Bambu filament for AMS use since they are detected and it simplifies loading and all. Otherwise I dont think the quality is much different. If you get some filament off Amazon id recommend Kingroon, Creality, Priline, and eSun. Some of the off brands have been a little odd to print with. ...

For material, I'm just fixed on printing ABS. I guess it's because I like working with styrene. I think the P1S comes with a spool of PLA so can use it to learn the process. I'll probably switch to ABS when I'm finished tinkering -- or maybe just continue using PLA and/or give PETG a try. Bambu say...

I don't know about the qidi version ams but with the Bambu it only keeps the filament dry with dessicant, you really still need a dryer anyway. Also with the Bambu you can't use it (long term anyway) with abrasive filaments so that's the other nice part with the dryer is you can use it for those abr...

I think many of us had Bolink cars over the years, they seem to be more recognizable than any other pan car.

That is interesting, I will say I only dry my pla when it gets brittle but otherwise really never felt the need much.
