Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
Yes the ams is awesome for multi material prints where you use a support material, the underside surface when used this way is just amazing compared to traditional supports. Also I will say, I didn't think I would use the ams either, but they are crazy cool for off the wall projects and fun stuff, e...

Re: What is the RC story behind Rear Toe-In?
When we started racing no prep 4 or so years back, mid motor cars didn't work at all. Way too finicky. In a year and a half everything competitive was mid motor. The tires unlocked the mid motor stuff. Belted and sauced to the moon. It's kinda funny as it isn't far from what happened with early loam...

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
I like the Bambu filament for AMS use since they are detected and it simplifies loading and all. Otherwise I dont think the quality is much different. If you get some filament off Amazon id recommend Kingroon, Creality, Priline, and eSun. Some of the off brands have been a little odd to print with. ...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
For material, I'm just fixed on printing ABS. I guess it's because I like working with styrene. I think the P1S comes with a spool of PLA so can use it to learn the process. I'll probably switch to ABS when I'm finished tinkering -- or maybe just continue using PLA and/or give PETG a try. Bambu say...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Ah Amazon is pure evil, just like eBay haha. I think they sell direct
And yes, you can feed with it- that's the mod I was mentioning where I relocated the entry so it's easier to load. I'll snap some pics.

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
I don't know about the qidi version ams but with the Bambu it only keeps the filament dry with dessicant, you really still need a dryer anyway. Also with the Bambu you can't use it (long term anyway) with abrasive filaments so that's the other nice part with the dryer is you can use it for those abr...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Amain was (is?) closing out some toy grade stuff, took a gamble on them since they didn't have much for pics or reviews. This entire lot was under $100, and while shipping wasn't free I did make another purchase that qualified so the entire lot shipped for free. Pretty impressed with the quality for...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Was listening to some printer news and they were discussing a possibly problem with the qidi, something worth looking at to make sure you are not effected. Here is a topic on it showing the ssr module and how to access it. Bambu has a problem on their bed slingers that was discovered similarly and l...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Finally, a 959 I could afford
The Tamiya is just so out of reach. This one ended up being brand new, I was expecting lightly used.

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
When Bambu has a sale on the AMS you have to take advantage of it
Anyone know how much you need to spend on shoes or purses to counteract something like this?

I think many of us had Bolink cars over the years, they seem to be more recognizable than any other pan car.

That is interesting, I will say I only dry my pla when it gets brittle but otherwise really never felt the need much.

Re: Leonard Wood 1/10 Nitro Oval Car
I don't think it's worth its own thread so I'll just borrow Brian's if that's ok with him  I have had a LW10 for a bit now and still haven't got around to cleaning it up. It needs very little besides some scrubbing, a bumper, and a pipe. This was identified by Leonard as a later version tha...
