I did some measuring today and put together a simple cheat sheet. This is just for v1 shocks, top or bottom load. the numbers are close, rounded, but close enough for ID.

Re: guess what (the game)
Yes sir, it's a Grizzly. Stolen pic as it's better than mine
I almost went with "a big bear but not the big bear" but thought that would be giving too much away. It was a crazy design for sure. Once the clod came out it was immediately garbage haha.
Your up sir!

Re: (1986-2005) RC Car Action Archives
RCCA stripped out the ads when they scanned them years ago. It sucks, those were the best part. Unfortunately nobody else has had the time or means to scan their collection.

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
I run Bambu machines and run Orcaslicer. Even though they are brothers, I much prefer orcaslicer. Just throwing it out there, you might want to try it as well and see what you think. Even though they are related they are still different and my results with default orca was better than with bambu

Re: guess what (the game)
Let's open it up in the future to a vehicle that you don't necessarily own, I was just hoping it would make people offer more factual info if it was in front of them. Sometimes memories of what people say 30 years ago in person and not since are groggy.

Re: Special Project Codename EF209 - RC 1/12 pancar
While I love selling g10 and carbon parts, I think a project like that deserves something printed 8) Not really a tub chassis, but something with raised sides possibly. The Club Race Hero is a really cool design that you could borrow ideas from as well. The simple suspension system works great, the ...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Ah ok, so your not using actual Orca Slicer, it's just a close relative of Orca. You may still want to try just plain old Orca and see what you think of it. I tried several on my Bambu and ended up on Orca, it's just all about what you like the feel of and have good results with. Orca on my creality...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Probably as they all work off each others discoveries and developments. There are components of Orca that have made their way into the PrusaSlicer as well, all these teams work together to a degree. That's why it's good to try them and see what you like best.

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
Just a heads up, Bambu is having a nice sale right now. They have the X1C and P1S on sale as well as the A1 and A1 mini. Bambu very rarely has a sale, I picked up a couple more AMS for my existing machines

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Went out to a reservoir near the Nevada border over the weekend to explore and get the dogs out of the house. Pretty cool area in the middle of nowhere. I wish I could have captured how far down it was on the dry end of the dam. When full, the reservoir is 17 miles long- and the last time it spilled...

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
Yes, I keep the .2 nozzle in one machine for printing detailed pla and abs parts, on small items the time isn't much more and the quality of print is so nice. The other machine I keep a .4 nozzle in, and use it for mostly abs. I side load abrasive filaments on that machine as well. Swapping nozzles ...
