Re: My Original Marui Big Bear - rebuild after 30+ yrs
I picked the best 4 tyres I’ve got, gave them a soak of silicone spray for a week, and fitted them onto the rims, minus the internal locking rings, as they put too much pressure on them and they just tear (I destroyed 2 tyres trying this  ) https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7820/47057324442_0995b...

Re: Optima restoration-lots of pics - now a Turbo as well
I think I ordered a repro body for the Turbo at the same time as I ordered the Optima one from MarwanRC. If not at the time, sometime soon after, as it’s been in the parts cupboard for a long time. Now having these 2 chassis complete sitting on the shelf motivated me to get the bodies completed http...

Re: Kyosho Turbo Inferno - New Rebuild
The 2 smaller ones could be scrapers that attach to the rear hubs to stop mud buildup inside the rear wheels?

Re: Edinger? Time for some love
Rear shocks re-rebuilt, this time with the fuel tubing travel limiters, and the body painted and stickered , now to work on spot lights and driver figure, I’m using a polycarbonate driver https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/47641802581_f81f0b461b_k.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/32699322477...

Early Vintage Rough Rider
Had this given to me a few years ago, so decided it was time to give it some life, by restoring/rebuilding it. It’s what some would refer to as a Mk 1, but Tamiya never really had a specific change in their kits, rather they just made rolling changes. I can highlight the tell tales parts that say th...

Re: Early Vintage Rough Rider
I got to cleaning and started reassembly. The front cross members needed to be re manufactured as the originals were engraved with the originals owners name, address and phone number  . The rear gearcase and mechanism box both had plenty of silicone sealer to “waterproof” it, which took a bit ...

Re: Early Vintage Rough Rider
Finally got the number stickers. These are off 2 separate sheets and are exactly the same size. I just learnt that for correct font sizes, the curved numbers need to be slightly larger to “correct” the optical illusion. I chose 79 as that is the year this kit was released, so just seemed right. As f...
